The call was from Nannan; Xiao Han could faintly hear the quarrelling on the other end.
"Nannan, are you at home?" Xiao Han asked.
"Mhm," Nannan replied in a soft voice.
"Wait for uncle for a moment, uncle will be there soon. Nannan, rest assured, uncle won't let anyone bully Nannan or your mom," Xiao Han said gently.
Hearing Xiao Han's assurance, Nannan said in her childlike tone, "Nannan will wait for uncle to come and drive away those bad people."
After hanging up the phone, Xiao Han walked toward Su Muqing and the others. Before they could ask, Xiao Han said, "I've got something to deal with right now, so I won't be going to school with you. You all go ahead."
"What happened?" Su Muqing asked curiously.
"A friend is being bullied by someone," Xiao Han said, his eyes a bit cloudy, but thankfully, he didn't say it was his predestined wife who was being bullied.
