Xiong En still had a silly grin on his face all the way back home.
After hugging his father, Xiong En went back to rest.
Dak looked at his son's campaign manager. "How long has he been like this?"
"The whole way here, Mr. Bazzer," Coffey replied, rather calmly.
"Hard to imagine," Dak mused. "That guy on TV is actually my son. Have I been wrong about him all this time?"
"Maybe, Mr. Bazzer."
Noticing Coffey's demeanor, Dak thought for a moment and then asked, "I'm a bit curious, as Xiong En's campaign manager, did you teach him to say those things?"
"Most of them, but I didn't teach him to make excuses for his mistakes. I told him to be brave and admit to changing for the better.
I taught him to end discussions about suicide there and let the audience put on their conspiracy theories, but instead, he lashed out at the drug dealers, the DEA, and the government.
