"How could this happen?" Clint remained skeptical, spreading his palm where a stream of dull yellow sand gathered and condensed into a smooth pebble, then he suddenly threw it out.
With a thud! the pebble embedded itself into the steel wall but didn't trigger any energy reaction.
"The Energy Shield really is gone?" Clint hesitated, acutely sensing that something was amiss.
"What do we do?" Everyone looked over.
After some thought, Clint said, "Try to hack into their surveillance system."
"Hack in directly?" The operative handling this part of the plan was puzzled.
"Hack in directly," Clint didn't elaborate further; the operative nodded, glanced at the surveillance probe on the metal wall, and tossed out a magnetic disk.
A faint snap sound that was almost undetectable, the smart terminal was activated, and after a series of operations, he too exclaimed in surprise, "How could this be?"
"It's been hacked already?" Clint quickly asked.
