"Yang Captain…" he began as he entered the room.
"Here you are, have a seat," Yang Peng looked up, closed the virtual screen, and gestured for Li Ming to sit down.
"You've been part of the team for a while now," Yang Peng remarked wistfully, "Li Ning and Lao Diao both speak highly of you. Even Lao Dao has good things to say about you, mentioning your meticulousness and caution…"
"And Lao Dao seldom praises anyone," Yang Peng laughed.
He wasn't pedantic. Previously, when he had placed Li Ming there, he didn't think it was such a big deal. It was just giving him a means to make a living.
But he hadn't expected Li Ming to exceed all expectations.
"How come this never emerged before?" Yang Peng mused casually. "You can't always be hiding your light under a bushel."
"You once said that after my father died, I would have to be a man who stands tall and firm," Li Ming said, looking down.
