"Teacher, you aren't really planning to slice me up, are you?" Li Ming said half-jokingly, half-seriously as he stood at the doorway.
"You sure think a lot," Professor Wu shook his head without even turning back, "I would hate to slice you up, come on in."
Li Ming hesitated for a moment before stepping into the room, where Old Wu had already moved to the central control panel and started inputting several commands.
The floor cracked open, and a silver-white cylindrical metal structure slowly emerged, with a thumb-sized depression in the center.
"Place your finger here."
Professor Wu said to Li Ming, his eyes seemingly filled with anticipation.
Li Ming pondered briefly, then extended his thumb, accompanied by a sharp pain.
After withdrawing his hand, he saw that a bit of fresh blood had remained in the central depression but then quickly disappeared.
