Chapter 7 - What the hell is happening

Using the remaining Adrenaline in her body, Shana forcefully ripped the finger in her thigh before grabbing a metal bone.

Holding it up, Shana took in several deep breath's as Albert clicked his fingers together before continuing their speech.

"Tell me, where did you get the courage to dis- no, tell me, when did you wake up?"

Fingers clinking together menacingly, they moved around like snakes in the forest, the metal heads dancing mesmerizingly.

Gulping down her saliva, Shana suppressed the pain chewing at her thigh before opening her mouth.

"Since you work on the premise of exchange of knowledge, tell me first, why did you call me a sacrifice?"

"Hm..." Tilting their head, the motion of the arms stopped. "Abyss speech? Only the mistress should know that forbidden knowledge, was there another hidden lineage left in the abyss?."

"????"

Tilting her Head, Shana pondered on what Albert had just said.

'No wait, what the fuck did he just say? Abyss Speech? I was literally just speaking English!'

But still she didn't understand.

Five arms moving to make an arm and hand, the skeletal metal like structure held the bundle of souls in their hands as the five other arms continued their snake like paths.

Tentatively lowering the metal bone in her hands, Shana spoke hesitantly. "Hey can you understand me?"

Tilting their head, Albert opened up their shirt with one finger before using one of the other fingers to open a compartment in their chest.

Revealing their internals that was filled with shifting gears arranged in the most ideal form possible, Albert stuffed the souls into their chest.

"Hm... I still don't understand abyss speech no matter what I do."

Murmuring to himself, five snake like metal arms with one major segment near the middle and four of them at the end of them split from the arm.

Now having ten arms in total that originated from the shoulders of Albert, Shana gulped down her saliva as sweat poured down her head.

Raising the metal bone, Shana did the only logical thing there was possible.

Run.

'Who am I kidding, I only did Junior league karate!'

Tossing the metal bar at Albert, his arms quickly jittered as they stabbed at the metal bone turning it into neatly separated sections of metal.

'No thank you'

Seeing that her fears were proven and she would survive for a few more seconds, Shana instinctively ducked to the side allowing a metal chunk to fly past harmlessly past her previous position.

Feeling a chill rise from her back, Shana swiftly sprinted to the other side of the storage room all the while Albert slowly followed her.

"You can run! But you've got nowhere to go little girl! I've locked the doors!"

Voice bouncing off of the walls, Shana hurriedly assessed her situation.

Since she didn't want to stay a second longer with a pair of murderers who had just admitted to her being some sort of sacrifice to some occult deity or whatever, she had run to the left.

Then since she came to a cross roads and felt her heart drop when the left door opened up she entered this storage room and closed the door behind her.

Next she wandered this place for a small while before happening across an anomaly.

She had seen a strange mask on top of a dolls face and felt strangely attracted to it, thankfully she solved that dilemma however since she made sure to stay away from it.

And finally she was now running from Albert Conningham, the butler of this esteemed murderous estate who seemed to be carrying souls.

'It can't be any worse then this right?'

Running forwards she dived to the side and quickly navigated her way through the mazelike structure of the Storage room.

And she didn't mention it earlier since it seemed rather stupid, but the arrangement of shelves in this place made absolutely no sense.

'Like aren't shelving units supposed to be neaatly organized to the point that they satisfy OCD? What the hell is this?'

Making a left then a right in the maze like arrangement, Shana belatedly recalled something from her assessment of the situation.

'Wait.'

Feeling another shiver up her spine, Shana hurriedly grasped at the mask on her face.

'When the hell did this thing get on me!?'

Grasping the metallic mask, she hurriedly tried to pry her fingers underneath the mask to no avail.

Her heartbeat spiked to a higher rate then before

The smell of metal filled her senses as she started hyperventilating.

Breaths coming out shorter and short, Shana felt sweat fall down her back drenching the shirt on her back.

But no matter what she did.

The mask never seemed to want to come off of her face.

Trying to scratch at it and only leaving pale marks on her face from the forces applied to it, Shana tensed up again as a distinct clinking noise reached her ears.

*Clink clink clik

"!"

Hurriedly moving from her previous Shana heard Albert's voice from besides her as she hid behind a nearby shelving unit.

"Hmm... That's strange, I surely heard her over here, did she already leave?"

*click clack clINK

Hearing the clinking akin to wind chimes sound from behind her, Shana subconsciously put her hands over her face although a mask was in her way.

*CLINK CLAK KLIC

The sound of wind chimes neared her as she felt the distinct sensation of a presence behind her.

Holding her breath, Shana felt paralyzed as her limbs became as heavy as lead.

Lungs contracting and expanding the air captured in her lungs let out a scream as they tried to escape.

Heart beat spiking once more, Albert Conningham finally moved away.

"Hmm... It must've just been my imagination."

*CLiNk CliCK Klack

"...Haa..."

Crouching down, Shana quickly tried getting the mask off of her face all the while cursing her father out.

'Fuck fuck fuck, Dad why the hell did you send your daughter here!?'

Recalling how she had already died without even making a single day in this place, Shana felt her heart go cold.

*Click

'...Fuck.'

Mechanically turning around, Shana was gifted with the terrifying eyes of Albert staring into her soul.

"Greetings you little rat."

"FUck!"

Cursing aloud, Shana quickly distanced herself as several boxes standing between her and the android were pierced by ten different arms.

One arm arcs towards her drawing a small arc on her cheek as red blood bubbled up from the wound.

Fear bubbling up into her soul, Shana felt the world slow down around her as her mind under the effects of impending death flew into over drive.

Cardboard, metal, cloth among other things lifting upwards, ten metal arms carrying several items on them like skewers.

The Android that was hugging the shelf to reach as far as possible.

Two glowing red orbs for eyes that were dancing joyfully in their mask.

'I know what to do.'

"Where will you go you little r- oh?"

"Nowhere you damn bastard!"

Ramming her shoulder into the shelf which had already been destabilized from the sudden force rocking its base, Albert could only dumbly speak.

"Oh"

Staring at the shelf which unsteadily wobbled towards Albert, he hurriedly tried to retract his arms.

Something that Shana didn't allow.

And although it led to her gaining torn and bleeding palms.

It inevitably also led to her gaining an upper hand against the Android.

*BANG!

The ground shook as the metallic shelf carrying boxes containing various random items crashed down onto Albert.

Clattering against the ground, the various bits and bobbles rolled out of their boxes as dust flew up into the air joining their much more interconnected rags.

Gently wafting down, Shana coughed instinctively as acid built up in her throat from the brief overdrive that her mind had just went through.

Touching her forehead that was transmitting tons of heat through the metallic mask Shana stumbled to the side.

Silently balancing herself onto a nearby shelving unit, Shana pondered on several things.

Mostly useless things to get her mind off of the Android, but things nonetheless.

But it all eventually led up to one thing.

'Is... is he actually dead?

Blinking, Shana limped her way to the fallen shelving units then paused.

Laying there like a doll that had their strings cut, Albert Conningham or rather...

The man that was actually a robot that was actually a spider that actually was a demon?

She wasn't clear on that last part.

Nevertheless, said android spider human man was now lying on the ground like a puppet without its strings.

Ten arms haphazardly pointing in several directions with a few penetrating his own head it's mask which revealed the intricate machinery underneath that had froze up.

'Haa...'

And most thankfully, the red eyes in the mask had turned black.

Collapsing onto the ground in relief, Shana rested her back onto the fallen shelving unit while touching the mask that she still had on her face.

'I... I actually killed someone.' Adrenaline seeping out of her like the ebbing of tides, Shana thought about that fact.

Albeit it wasn't directly, it was a fact that Shana had a major part in causing the death of Albert Conningham, someone who had human mannerisms and a human name...

'Wait... I actually don't feel that bad about killing someone.'

'Is that good?' Raising her shaking hand that was feeling the withdrawals of Adrenaline, an unprecedented sense of weakness followed up by an excruciating pain left her bereft.

'Fuck morals, why the hell am I in so much pain!?'

Now realizing that the adrenaline was dulling her nerves and preventing the pain from reaching her mind.

She was able to now find out the horrible state her body was in.

With small cuts and scratches covering her body like a network of webs, a large extra air hole on her legs and a deep scar on her face pronounced the most pain on her body.

Granted she was feeling pain all over her body but still.

Groaning in slight agony, Shana slowly touched her thigh where the brand new air hole was located allowing a gruesomely in focus version of her insides.

'Ah fuck I feel queasy.'

Turning her head as her leg screamed out in pain, Shana new that she had to make a torniquet.

The problem was that she had little to no strength left to make it.

'...Actually...'

Glancing at the outstretched arm of Albert, Shana moved her left arm and slowly cut her long sleeved shirt apart thread by thread.

Using the torn shirt as a makeshift torniquet, she didn't forget to use a nearby metal stick to make some more makeshift braces for her leg.

Tightening the clothes around her wound she winced as they tightened around the clean cut made by the man spider thingie.

'I really don't want to think about that right now.'

Glaring at Albert who was the cause of her continued pain, Shana hesitated for a few moments before getting up and picking up a metal bone.

Raising it above her head, she quickly brought it down much to the dismay of her body but to the praise of her brain.

'Ah fuck that feels so good yet so terrible.'

Grimacing, Shana threw away the metal bone before picking up three of the arms that had broken away from that violent blow.

Lightly scratching at a shelving unit, Shana flinched when the finger easily went straight through the leg with little resistance.

'Thank god he wasn't any closer or I would've lost a leg.'

Knowing full well that any sort of medical assistance that she may receive would most likely result in death, Shana was more than happy to endure the pain of her leg gaining an air hole.

Well happy was an overstatement, but oh well.

Holding the loosely hanging finger arms in one hand, Shana swung it around causing the loose joints to swing the sharp ends around dangerously.

Much like a flail although it wasn't as long as the ones that she was playing with right now.

Using the rest of her sleeve that had already been torn to tie the arm fingers together, Shana had procured herself a small weapon.
