Xin Yi and Shen Yu were in the room discussing something about their assignment when Wang Mu Chen and Xiao Bo entered.
"Xiao Xiao, you are here. Did you enjoy the date with your Wei Chen Gege?" Xin Yi looked up.
Xiao Bo nodded his head with a satisfied smile. Indeed, both the brothers had a heartfelt bonding session after a long time counting the years of his previous life.
"Xiao-Er, come here and save me. This YiYi is giving me a headache," Shen Yu pulled the smaller's hand.
Xin Yi shook his head, "Mu Gege, you are here. Did you two meet downstairs?"
Mu Chen nodded, "Here are some materials that can help you in the assignment. If you still don't understand, we can go to the city library, I have a membership there, so we can bring some books back."
"Okay, Gege. First, let me see these. And tell this stone head to read sometimes, he doesn't even know what subject we are talking about," Xin Yi pointed at Shen Yu.
"Yu-Er..." Mu Chen's voice was stern, "You said you will study diligently, didn't you?"
"Gege~, YuYu is being over dramatic," Shen Yu glared at his friend for telling on him.
"Xiao-Er, listen to him and tell me if you can understand anything he said, I fucking don't know what language he is speaking," Shen Yu pushed the smaller towards Xin Yi.
"Yu-Er!" Mu Chen's face became serious.
That was when Shen Yu realized he cursed in front of his elder brother.

"Sorry, Gege. It's just a slip of the tongue, I didn't mean to..." Shen Yu downcasted his head.
Seeing the grimness in the room, "... don't get angry, please," Xiao Bo voiced out stepping forward, tugging the sleeves of the elder lightly.
Mu Chen was frozen for a second. His exe stopped working. It was the first time Xiao Bo took the initiative to talk to him.
Maybe because last night they talked openly with each other, the awkwardness between them reduced a bit.
The elder's lips curled seeing the adorable younger, "Alright, if you say so. I won't get angry," he ruffled Xiao Bo's hair.
Shen Yu and Xin Yi glanced at each other with raised brows seeing their interaction.
"Oh my, why am I eating dog food this late in the evening?" Xin Yi commented with a teasing smile on his face.
Shen Yu closed his mouth with his palm controlling his giggles.
Xiao Bo's cheeks turned cherry as he backed off looking down, fidgeting through his fingers.
"YiYi..." Mu Chen narrowed his eyes, "Shall we start discussing the assignment? You said you were in a hurry to submit it by tomorrow. It seems that's not the case, should I go back then?"
"Ah, no! Mu Gege, stay and help us. If we don't submit it by tomorrow, we are done for," Shen Yu grabbed the elder's hand.
Mu Chen sighed, "Then no chit-chatting anymore. Get to work you three."
That was the call for them to get into a serious discussion. They got so immersed for three hours straight and almost completed the assignment.
"Ah, damn... it's finally over," Shen Yu stretched his hands and legs.
"Not yet, we need to type them all out and do some finishing touches," Xin Yi leaned back on his chair stretching his back.
Xiao Bo exhaled deeply and his stomach grumbled. He bit his lower lips and rubbed his belly in embarrassment.
"Aw, is our Xiao-Er hungry? Me too. So hungry. Mu Ge, take us out to eat," Shen Yu whined.
Mu Chen shook his head, "Alright let's go. Oh, call Li Fan too, he must be alone."
"Why, he always stays alone anyway. Can't we just go by ourselves?" Shen Yu pouted.
"Yu-Er? He is your fiance... You both should take care of each other. Go call him. We will be waiting downstairs," Mu Chen ordered.
Defeated, Shen Yu went to his room to call Li Fan.
Xin Yi stood up and went to wash his face. Mu Chen wore his coat and looked at the smaller.
"Snowball, wear something thick, it gets colder at night," Mu Chen suggested.
"En," Xiao Bo hummed and searched through his clothes looking for a decent coat.
Just then Mu Chen got a call, "I will be taking this call outside come down with YiYi, okay Snowball?"
Xiao Bo nodded and continued to search in his wardrobe.
Mu Chen went out and answered the call getting inside the elevator, "Um, why are you calling now, Mian?"
"Is Xiao Bo with you?" Feng Mian asked.
"Why do you ask?" Mu Chen frowned not getting why his friend was asking about the smaller.
"Just tell me, or is he in the dorm room with Xin Yi?" Feng Mian asked again.
"Yes, I was helping them with the assignment till now. We just took a break to go out for dinner, why, what happened?" Mu Chen found it strange.
"I am coming there send me the address. Also, apply for a leave of absence for Xiao Bo for three to four days," Feng Mian spoke in a hurry.
"What's all this about, Mian? Why would Snowball need a leave?" Mu Chen questioned, his frown deepened.
Feng Mian ignored the nickname Mu Chen gave to his younger brother and with a sigh explained everything about the investigation.
Wang Mu Chen balled his fist after listening to everything.
"Father asked me to bring Xiao Bo home. Mother and Grandparents are eager to see him. My sister is flying back after learning the news. I have to take him to B city tonight," Feng Mian concluded his talk.
"I will come along," Mu Chen declared.
"But-"
"Now, I am his guardian, Mian," Mu Chen stated.
"Still..." Feng Mian was hesitant cause if his mother and grandparents knew about Xiao Bo getting engaged this soon they would cause an uproar.
"He will be scared in an unknown place," Mu Chen reasoned.
"You're right too," Feng Mian remembered how timid the smaller was and he was also practically a stranger to him how could Xiao Bo trust him and go with him?
"It would be hard to digest everything at once for Snowball. It will be better if we explain him everything slowly on the way so that he won't get overwhelmed when he sees your family," Mu Chen suggested.
"Hm, you're right. Let's do as you said," Feng Mian agreed.
Mu Chen paused for a second and with gritted teeth he asked, "So, where are they now?"
Feng Mian understood what his friend meant by that, "I have sent my men to capture Song Yi Ming but that bastard already escaped. Wei Chen is in my captive. I will show him hell for everything he did to my younger brother."
Mu Chen furrowed his brows, "Wei Chen... I don't think he-"
He was cut off when Feng Mian, "No! I saw it clearly with my own eyes. That bastard is a psycho. He acts all caring outside but loves to torture Xiao Bo, he is a fucking hypocrite, Chen! I am not going to leave him!"
Hearing such hatred spouting out of Feng Mian's words Mu Chen knew no matter what he said it won't get through him.
Also, there must be some reason for Feng Mian to get overworked like that. Thinking of everything Mu Chen thought to talk it out with him in person and if there was a misunderstanding they could clear it then.
"Hm, come to 'Blooming' restaurant near the University, we will be there in fifteen minutes," Mu Chen hung up the call.
He became quandary about how Xiao Bo would react to everything. Worry was written all over his face.

After cutting the call, Feng Mian looked at his men, "Are you done?"
"Yes, sir. We gave him anesthesia. He won't be conscious till tomorrow. What should we do now?" A man in the black suit asked standing politely beside him.
"Take him to my villa in B city and guard him. If he escapes, I will kill you all, got it?" Feng Mian warned.
"Yes, sir." The man bowed and left.
Li Feng Mian went to see Wei Chen who was knocked out on the floor all tied up and gagged. There were dry tears on his cheeks which were swollen red with hand prints clearly visible.
He crouched down and grabbed the unconscious Wei Chen's jaw painfully tight and remembered how much the other struggled to run away from him in fear before he forcefully brought him to his apartment and then handed him to his men to tie him down.
"I will never let you get away with it, Wei Chen. I will make sure you suffer worse than what my younger brother went through. I will let you beg for death on your knees."
A flash of darkness passed through Feng Mian's eyes, he pushed away Wei Chen's face to the floor and got up.
"Take him away," Feng Mian ordered his men.
He then called his secretary who went to take down Song corporations.
"What happened?"
"Sir, it's strange. The company is not under Song Yi Ming, he is not even a shareholder," the perplexed secretary informed.
Feng Mian frowned, "Then it must be on Wei Chen's name-"
He was cut off by the secretary, "No, sir. I thought of that possibility and checked again but it is not under either of his sons."
"He has only one son, Xiao Bo is not a Song anymore. He is Li Xiao Bo, my younger brother," Feng Mian corrected immediately.
"Yes, sir. The Song corporations are now just an empty shell. All the investors backed off and the anonymous shareholders disappeared. Sir, should I dig more just in case?"
"No need. If what you said is the truth then Song Corporations is game over, it is unnecessary to waste more time on it. You can go back," Feng gave the order and hung up the call.
After that, he started driving to the 'Blooming' restaurant, and on the way, he called his father and briefed him about everything.

"Li Fan," Shen Yu called as soon as he entered the room.
Li Fan couldn't hear him with his headphones on. He was working on his laptop with music on and was completely engrossed in it.
Shen Yu took off his headphones and faced an annoyed Li Fan who was about to curse but stopped himself halfway seeing his hotheaded Fiance.
"Shen Yu, it's rude to snatch my headphones like that," Li Fan spoke in a calm tone.
"I called you but you didn't hear me because of this loud music in your ears. Anyway, Mu Gege asked me to call you. We are all going out for dinner."
Shen Yu gave back the headphones expecting Li Fan would refuse to come along.
Li Fan took a quick glance at the watch on his wrist, "Okay, give me a minute." He got up to change out from his pajamas.
"Oh, you're coming? That's unexpected," Shen Yu said out loud without him realizing.
"Hm?" Li Fan paused for a moment giving a questioning glance at the other, "What do you mean by that?"
"Nothing," Shen Yu immediately looked away seeing the other was changing his pants.
Li Fan shook his head and changed his clothes quickly and they both got outside the room.
"Let's go," he said as he locked the room and put the keys inside his pocket.
Shen Yu nodded and then saw Xin Yi and Xiao Bo were still in the room, he knocked on the door.
"YiYi, Xiao-Er, shall we go?"
Xin Yi nodded as both of them came out of the room and locked it. The four of them took the elevator downstairs.
Mu Chen was waiting for them with a heavy heart after the talk with his friend. As soon as he saw Xiao Bo, he took his hands into his,
"Snowball..." He stopped and looked at the smaller with sympathy in his eyes.

Mu Chen felt bitter and gave a long sigh feeling unfair for everything Xiao Bo had gone through.
Xiao Bo became a little worried seeing the elder like that. He didn't question and looked into Mu Chen's eyes asking him to tell him what was going on.
"Feng Mian have something to talk to you. It's very important and it might change everything you have until now..." Mu Chen glanced into the smaller's honey-dipped brunette irises in the mid-sentence.
"But you don't have to worry. I will be there by your side, okay?" Mu Chen assured.
Xiao Bo was confused by the elder's words but nonetheless, he nodded his head in response.
