Since it was still early, Lu Xiao didn't return to his farmstead outside the city but went to the new home he had just purchased for Xu Ming the day before.
Just as he entered the courtyard, Lu Xiao heard Xu Ming talking with Ge Li.
"Old Xu, should we leave or not? Lots of people from Xu Hai City have already left."
"No, we're not leaving."
"But, I heard that last night the Li Residence was slaughtered by a demonized man. If those high clans can't hold out, there's no way we can survive."
Ge Li's words plunged Xu Ming into a brief silence.
"Maybe you should ask Mr. Lu what he thinks," Ge Li added.
"Alright, I'll go back to Mansion Luo and wait there," Xu Ming also felt it was safer to ask for Lu Xiao's opinion.
"Brother Xu!" Lu Xiao called out with a smile as he stepped into the courtyard.
"I heard everything just now, no need to run. Feel at ease and settle down here."
