But before he reached the restroom, he encountered Yang's mother coming out of the kitchen.

"Oh, Chen Yang isn't in the restroom. He's in the kitchen helping me wash dishes. You should go to the kitchen," Yang's mother replied.
"Washing dishes?"

"This guy, he's pretty good at currying favor with his mother-in-law!"
Yang Ruoxi said gleefully.
"What are you giggling about? If you need to find him, hurry up and don't let your dad get too anxious," Yang's mother urged.
"Alright, I'm going now."
Yang Ruoxi stowed away her gleeful mood and immediately went to the kitchen, found Chen Yang, and mentioned that Yang Tiancheng was looking for him.
