Chen Yang, holding the money, arrived at the entrance of the village and knocked on the window of the small store.
"Uncle Niu, are you home?"
"I am... I'm home."
A sleepy voice came from inside the store, followed by a dark-skinned old man who appeared at the window.
Uncle Niu sneezed and looked at Chen Yang through the window, then smiled and said, "Oh, the college student has come. What do you need?"
"Hmm... Do you have any chilled beer?" Chen Yang replied.
"Yes, how much do you need? I'll go get it for you," Uncle Niu said.
"Start with a case first."
"Oh, so much? Do you have guests at home?" Uncle Niu asked, somewhat surprised.
There weren't many men in Liuhe Village, so the store rarely sold tobacco and alcohol.
What little there was usually was kept by Uncle Niu for his own use.
"No, just buying extra to stock up at home, to have a bottle or two when I feel like it," Chen Yang replied with a smile.
