Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Breaking the Siege

Yuxin's anger had not subsided yet, and she switched hands, ready to slap again. In her view, what use was talking to this kind of person when a fist might be more effective?

But as soon as she had swung halfway, someone grabbed her arm.

Lu Zhenhai walked up to her, pushed her away, and scolded with a stern face, "Yuxin, no matter what the elder has done, it's not your place to take action. She is my own sister, your father's sister, your aunt!"

"Regarding you hitting an elder, I will report this in detail to the older generation in the family and deal with it according to our family rules," Lu Zhenhai still put on a righteous look.

"Enough!" A suppressed angry shout exploded in the conference room, Chairman Xiao stood up, looked around at the family shareholders, "No matter how you try to provoke me, hoping to see me disrupt our ranks, don't expect to get a single share from me."

"Is that so? If you don't sign this agreement, I'm afraid you and your daughter won't be walking out of this conference room," Fourth Aunt seemed to regain her composure, her expression was ferocious, tough talk after soft hadn't worked.

Yuxin scoffed, took out her cellphone to make a call, but found that there was no signal.

Recalling the thugs outside the hallway, and now the missing signal, Yuxin realized more clearly that the family members had come prepared, eager to seize the shares.

"Chairman Xiao, the shares of Lu Group must bear the Lu name, that won't ever change. Besides, we're not pushing you into a corner. After you sign this agreement, half of the shares under your name will be transferred to us at no cost, and you will still be the second largest shareholder of Lu Group," said one confidently.

Lu Zhenhai seemed too tired to pretend any longer, laying out his final terms.

Chairman Xiao looked at Lu Zhenhai calmly, as if regarding a fool, "Half of the shares? I suppose your next move would be to take away my chairman position, and then continue to devour the other half of my holdings. Do you think I am an idiot?"

"Then there's nothing to discuss. You and your daughter are so stubborn, go talk to our dozen or so bodyguards outside," Fourth Aunt sneered, starting to threaten.

With a bang, as her words fell, the conference room's heavy door suddenly burst open.

The pure steel door bolts flew off, the layered steel door caved in, and the fixing bolts on both sides came out halfway; the whole door was about to fall off.

Everyone in the conference room was stunned, including the chairman and Yuxin; those who were faint-hearted had already crouched on the ground, holding their heads and shivering.

"Uh, whose bodyguard outside just started fighting?" Lin Feng dusted off his hands, looking completely nonchalant.

Bodyguards? It took a while for people to react, and when they looked towards the hallway, those dozen or so bodyguards were scattered on the ground, motionless.

Yuxin was dumbfounded, not understanding what had happened. Before entering the conference room, she had clearly seen Lin Feng overwhelmed by a dozen bodyguards, yet now the bodyguards were down, and Lin Feng stood unharmed in front of her.

"You… who are you? What did you do to them?" Fourth Aunt stood up trembling, her face filled with disbelief.

"I didn't do anything to them; they fell over by themselves," Lin Feng spread his hands, looking completely innocent.

After that, he no longer cared about them. He walked over, grabbed Yuxin's hand, and started to head out. Yuxin looked at the female chairman, blushed slightly, and struggled faintly but did not pull away.

Seeing Yuxin trying to leave, Lu Zhenhai quickly blocked the door, and Fourth Aunt, along with several others, also stood in the way, not allowing Yuxin to leave. It was not easy to set this trap today; they couldn't leave without achieving anything.

Lin Feng narrowed his eyes, scanned them, and clenched the black umbrella in his hand, ready to sweep it out.

"Don't start a fight here," Yuxin said softly, not because she cared about these family members, but being seen fighting at the high management level would damage the company's image severely; Fourth Aunt and the others might not care, but she did.

Lin Feng retracted the umbrella, took out a coin, and shot it out, hitting the alarm above the doorway. The ceiling-mounted sprinklers immediately set off, dousing the conference room like heavy rain.

Yuxin was at a loss for words; this commotion seemed even greater than before. Well, it might only be explicable through an announcement afterward.

Lin Feng opened the umbrella in his hand, pulling Yuxin away, while Yuxin also took the female chairman with her. Behind them, the place had already turned chaotic, and the shareholders of the Lu family were soaked like drowned rats.
