The door clacked open.
Fang Hong turned to look, only to see a marble head suddenly thrust in from inside, refracting a faint, ash-white gleam under the moonlight. The thing almost scared him witless on the spot—what the devil was it!? A puppet? A stone golem statue?
But the marble head suddenly turned sideways, slamming against the doorframe with a bang, causing a shower of dust to fall from above. Fang Hong wondered why the thing suddenly started to self-harm, and then he heard a voice from behind.

The voice was melodious and distinctive.
