Standing on a twin-wheeled motorcycle speeding at over seventy kilometers per hour, Bai Zhongqi and the others had been traveling for over an hour. During this journey, Bai Zhongqi finally encountered some living creatures. There were still some rodent species on the grasslands, but they were very small and hard to spot.
These small rodents were quite ugly, feeding on grass seeds, burrowing all over the grassland, and living in groups. Their main predators were the dog-headed bats circling in the sky.
Bai Zhongqi finally saw some dog-headed bats in the sky again. These flying creatures should hardly be described merely as flying; their movement in the sky seemed easier than any bird's. After spreading their membranous wings, the dog-headed bats constantly circled overhead, and Bai Zhongqi even suspected that they never landed.
