"Lin Suqing!"
A boy's voice, crisp and clear, pierced through the woods. His figure was not yet visible, but his voice was already audible.
The monkeys were terrified, and the area around the pond erupted into chaos. After escorting their king away, everyone hurriedly fled to the shore, splashing the pond water everywhere in their haste.
In the midst of the chaos, Lin Suqing was the most unfortunate. He had been enjoying his soak, but now he was drenched like a drowned rat. He wiped the water from his face, repeatedly combed through his drenched hair, and when he finally regained his composure, he saw that all the monkeys had scrambled out of the pond and were frantically running into the woods. Eventually, they disappeared, leaving only a few drifting green leaves behind.
"Lin Suqing!"
Another call came; he looked up and after a while spotted a small dot of a dog, too far to see clearly but apparently wagging its tongue in cheerful approach.
