Only because Alkaid made a breakthrough to the Blazing White Golden Core Realm did it begin to obliterate the Mystical Light Sect, expel the Heavenly Water Pavilion, and complete the unification of the territories east of Cloud River.
Although they had already won the war of unification, the foundation of the Cloudsoar Sword Sect was ultimately still shallow, and in many aspects, they hadn't moved beyond the range of a Golden Core-level sect.
