Jed nodded, not dwelling on the topic, and ushered Xi Mu and Martha into the living room before going to prepare tea.
"Three cups of tea?" Xi Mu spoke up, causing Jed to pause. She glanced at the sofa and saw Martha sitting opposite the boss, with no third person present.
"Understood, boss." She promptly agreed and placed three cups of tea on the table before returning to her own room.
Xi Mu picked up the teacup and took a sip, "Is there anything you want to ask?"
Martha did not speak immediately. She looked toward Hecate, who was savoring her tea, and fell into a brief silence. Had it not been for Xi Mu mentioning three cups of tea, she might not have noticed Hecate's presence, despite being so close.
"You are a spy, aren't you?" Hecate set down her teacup, smiled, and quietly said to Martha across from her:
"Considering you have not laid a hand on my apprentice, I'll allow you to leave the hotel alive."
