"Who do you think will win?" the Negation Demon turned to the Witch of the Moon and asked. He was now unable to predict who would secure victory in this battle and could only inquire about the thoughts of his kindred.
The Witch of the Moon pondered for a moment and asked, "Negation Demon, if you were at the pinnacle of human strength, would you be confident in dealing with the Dragon King?"
"No," the Negation Demon answered without hesitation. If he were to challenge the Dragon King at the pinnacle of human condition, it would surely end in death.
This wasn't to say he was weak. Before he became a demon, he had conducted himself as a scholar and never fought his way up like Ahtal. Instead, he was more engaged in research and could satisfy his needs through the exchange of interests.
That was the choice of most people. To grow through constant fighting and killing was an extreme rarity; more often, they would not need to engage in life-and-death struggles.
