"God is dead."
A light laugh spread through the clouds.
Eden, standing on a cloud, looked toward the source of the voice and saw the figure of the Goddess of Lies emerging. She had her hands clasped behind her back, smiling as she gazed at the world aflame in the distance.
"The one who killed the gods, it was Ahtal."
She turned her head and made eye contact with Eden.
"Retrieving Michael is permitted by All Gods, but… killing a deity, that is absolutely forbidden."
"It was Ahtal who killed the God of Blood," Eden said calmly, looking down at the source of fear riding the eight-legged horse.
She gently lowered her eyelids.
"But it could also not be Ahtal."
"Yes, as long as I am willing to change my story a little," the Goddess of Lies maintained her smile, looking at Eden wrapped in her cloak and said:
"But I can't think of any reason to cover up for Ahtal."
