Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Arataki Itto's Mental Health Bail Certificate

Since the last duel in front of the Shogun, the training grounds at Tenshukaku have been under repair.

For the people of Teyvat, repairing a training ground shouldn't take long.

All it would take is finding some Vision bearers and channeling elemental power, and the place could be restored to its original state in less than a day.

Unfortunately...

Because of the Vision Hunt Decree, the Shogunate couldn't find any Vision-bearer craftsmen.

Even though Kujou Sara repeatedly promised that their Visions wouldn't be confiscated, no one applied for the job.

Not confiscate them? What a joke.

After the Battousai incident, the Raiden Shogun personally confiscated a Vision from a Shogunate soldier.

If even the Shogunate's own people aren't spared, how could a regular craftsman believe they would be?

So, despite offering high wages and assurances, the repair work on the training grounds progressed very slowly.

Every day at noon, Kujou Sara would personally inspect the repairs.

As the General of the Tenryou Commission, she takes on every task herself, big or small.

Even when it came to the repairs, she would come to check on the progress.

After reviewing the repair work, Kujou Sara would usually make her way to the cherry blossom tree.

During the duel before the Shogun, the mysterious person emerged from near this tree, so it was given special attention during the investigation.

However, the person was extremely cautious, leaving behind no clues.

But there was a cat that remained in the tree and refused to come down.

In fact, when Kujou Sara first saw the cat, she immediately recognized it.

There are many white cats in Inazuma City, but this particular one, with its unique spiritual presence, is one of a kind.

"Meow!"

The cat became alert as Kujou Sara approached, letting out a low growl as a warning.

Although it hadn't turned into a youkai, it was much smarter than an ordinary animal.

After all, it had witnessed its owner fighting with this woman.

In its mind, Kujou Sara was an enemy.

Kujou Sara, however, was already used to this hostile behavior.

She took out the food she had specially prepared, placed it under the cherry blossom tree, and left without further ado.

The food wasn't luxurious, just some dried fish and milk.

But for a cat that was both mentally and physically exhausted, it was a feast.

"Kujou-dono."

As Kujou Sara discreetly watched to see if the cat would touch the food she had left, her subordinate from the Tenryou Commission, Ohwada, hurried over to her.

"What's the matter? Why are you so flustered?"

Seeing him so frantic, Kujou Sara frowned slightly.

Although the Tenryou Commission held significant authority in Inazuma, barging into Tenshukaku like this was against the rules.

Ohwada wasn't one to disregard rules, so there was only one possible explanation: something had happened in Inazuma City.

"Kujou-dono, we just received a report from the town officials. They've captured the oni who was scribbling all over the message board at Hanamizaka and want to transfer him to us. What should we do?"

"..."

Kujou Sara's expression darkened upon hearing Ohwada's report.

She knew exactly who this oni was—the same one who had been leaving messages on the board, constantly provoking her.

As the current General of the Tenryou Commission, she had to maintain her dignity.

"Follow the usual procedure. Throw him in jail for seven days and nights."

For that noisy oni, being locked up for seven days would be worse than death—a severe enough punishment for him.

"But his subordinate presented a mental health bail certificate, claiming he has mental issues and insisted that we release him."

This was another reason why Ohwada had come to her.

Such documents were important and required Kujou Sara's approval before being issued.

Now that one had appeared in the hands of the oni's subordinate, was it not an indication that Kujou Sara had authorized it?

"Mental health bail certificate?"

Kujou Sara's expression shifted again upon hearing those words.

"Was it Kuki Shinobu who submitted the bail request?"

"Yes, I believe that's the name."

Ohwada recalled carefully before reporting.

"Tell her that precisely because he has mental issues, he needs to be locked up for seven days and nights. Otherwise, if he harms anyone, it will be difficult to deal with."

Kujou Sara's message was clear.

Arataki Itto must be imprisoned; not even Kuki Shinobu could save him.

"Understood! I will convey your orders!"

Ohwada straightened up, saluted, and quickly left.

When Kujou Sara looked back at the food she had left, she found that both the milk and the dried fish were gone.

However, there were fish bones and scraps occasionally falling from the lush cherry blossom tree above.

This sight somewhat improved her previously sour mood.

Arataki Itto had been taken away, and the crowd that had gathered was gradually dispersing.

Only Bai Luo remained, deep in thought as he watched the green-haired girl who had left with the town officials and Arataki Itto.

"Isn't Yoimiya supposed to have red hair? When did she join the Arataki Gang? And why did she dye her hair green? What's the point of dyeing it green?"

Bai Luo, concerned about his main in the game, couldn't help but think about it.

Unfortunately, he had arrived too early, and the game update wasn't finished yet.

So he didn't know that there was another person in the Arataki Gang named Kuki Shinobu.

"Huh? Are you calling me?" A sudden voice snapped Bai Luo out of his thoughts.

He turned his head and looked at the girl who had somehow appeared beside him.

Then he glanced back at the mysterious green-haired girl who was still with the town officials and Arataki Itto, and he began to ponder.

How could there be two Yoimiyas?!

"Are you here to order fireworks? If you were referred by a regular customer, I can give you a 20% discount," Yoimiya said after sending away the small children who had been following her.

She had overheard someone mentioning her name but hadn't caught exactly what was said.

She assumed Bai Luo had come to Hanamizaka specifically to ask her to make fireworks, given her reputation as the best fireworks maker in Hanamizaka.

"Well, sort of," Bai Luo responded nonchalantly after calming down.

He hadn't expected to meet her after missing her last time, and now, by chance, he encountered not just one, but two of her. It was a stroke of luck.

"Weren't you here last time? My dad mentioned you," Yoimiya said as she led the way, chatting with Bai Luo.

Some might think she was trying to pry, but Bai Luo knew that Yoimiya's personality was just like that—she loved talking to people and being surrounded by excitement.

Along the way, she greeted everyone by name, receiving friendly responses from people regardless of their temperament.

She was like a little sun in winter, warming everyone around her.

"Yes, I've been here more than once. I didn't expect to run into you again."
