King caught my elbow. He held me in place as I turned to walk away. "Teela, please. You owe me at least that much."
I got whiplash as my head turned in his direction. "I owe you? I owe you? Are you fucking crazy?"
Stiff grabbed King's wrist right above where King's hand grasped my elbow. "Hey, let her go. The woman said no, and you don't need a scene. It would be bad for Ben's business. Bad for your reputation, and it could be bad for your chance of staying alive if Alec catches you touching his woman."
