Patrick wandered aimlessly through the hospital. His steps echoed through the corridors.
After a while, he returned to where he had started. He stared at the door. A sight that brought him the most dread and anxiety in the past.
He grasped the round door handle shakily before twisting and pushing into it. It was cool to the touch and awfully smooth, almost as if it had just been polished.
The door led to an open platform in the middle of a dark, foggy space. The scenery gave an eerie feeling. The feeling of his mind being incomplete feels more apparent now than before.
His eyes continued to dart around before resting on a woman standing in the middle of said platform with her back turned to Patrick. She wore a long white hospital gown and had long black hair that fell all the way down her back.
Beside her was a black-furred beast with a size that could possibly take up an evident space in a living room. Patrick felt a sense of familiarity with them.
