Synopsis

Compendium

{This chapter is a collection of summarised novel knowledge for easier understanding. More information may be added as time goes on because I may get some funny ideas. The novel was inspired by a few other novels. It may contain minor spoilers.}

World Background

An eldrich horror that lives in the space in which all timelines of this world is held. After discovering the world and the [Creator] behind its management, it had spent several millennia of trying to invade every single timeline with the goal to devour it. This is because the [Creator] resides in one of the infinite timelines.

Do to a prolonged amount of time, The [Creator]'s power has weakened under the invasion. Countless timelines were invaded and lost. He decided to split himself into three equal parts. Two to defend against the invasion, and the other to try and develop a way to combat against the invader.

And that was the system [Eden]. Do know that this solution is still in its early stages and is still in its development. That was a few century ago. The invader did not stay idle and instead adopted a new method of attack, he sent a slither of his power and since it was too small, it went undetected and fell into one of the timeline that so happens to be the [Creator] is in.

Eden

A gift bestowed upon humanity at the beginning of the apocalypse by its [Creator] to try to ensure the survivability of this species. It takes the appearance of a floating blue panel with game characteristics to it.

Corruption

Malevolent mana that appears in the form of a black liquid.

Appeared at the beginning of the Apocalypse.

It appears to be able to infect non-sentient animals more likely than humans, but only if the humans don't show the slightest bit of resistance to it.

Mana Core

A mystical core is formed after one enters the soldier/mutated stage. It is capable of accumulating and storing mana correlating to the [MANA] stat.

Genetic Nexus

A body part of an entity that is heavily concentrated with its genetic information. This is usually found after the Entity's death, but not always. This can be used to form [Imprints] or Consumed/Absorbed to gain abilities of the entity.

Imprints

Items fused with the genetic code from a [Genetic Nexus] through the help of the [Eden] and are immediately bound to the creator to never leave their side unless the transfer of ownership or its destruction.

Items fused may gain characteristics from the genetic code but will always be bestowed upon an ability belonging to the entity.

Bonds

A genetic nexus that has a soul residing in it may be able to fuse into an inanimate object to give birth to a Bond - A servant. Their bodies are stored in the form of tattoos with an appearance that describes them entirely.

Abilities

Upon absorption or consumption of a [Genetic Nexus], the entity will gain the ability that belongs to the deceased entity. Any ability with the description about forming body parts will be constructed from the user's mana automatically by the [Eden] and can be disabled whenever. The more abilities you have, the more room it takes up in your soul.

Start with three ability slots.

- Types:

Learned: Through an individual's efforts, they may be able to gain the ability they hope for.

Gained: Gaining an ability by absorbing a genetic nexus or by Eden.

Mastered: Mastering an ability causes it to decrease in cost by 50%

Quoted: Special abilities are unique to an individual due to history and will be named after something they have said.

- Classification:

Offence: "Abilities purely for the use of inflicting damage."

Defence: "Ability purely for the use of reducing or negating damage."

Auxiliary: "Abilities that either increase an individual's capabilities or transform them."

TRAITS:

Creatures infected with the corruption may develop a trait that could decide their abilities.

Heavenly Rankings

A measure of power for humans, consisting of 7 stages of holiness.

Civilian: Level 1 - 10

Soldier: Level 10 - 40

Crusader: Level 40 - 70

Saint: Level 70 - 100

Saviour: Level 100 - 200

Angel: Level 200 - 300

Deity: Must complete a requirement

Exiled Rankings

A measure of power for mutated entities consists of 7 stages of unholiness.

Infected: Level 1 - 10

Mutated: Level 10 - 40

Heretic: Level 40 - 70

Fallen: Level 70 - 100

Corrupted: Level 100 - 200

Terror: Level 200 - 300

Unholy: Must complete a requirement
