When they entered the Chapel, they discovered that more than half of them were gone. Ada raised a brow at this and turned towards someone she knew who was still there.
She called out to a ginger-headed figure.
"Where did everyone go, Ruby?"
Ruby stiffened and turned towards her in surprise that they had returned so soon.
"Well... you know how you guys have been helping those that want to fight level up?"
"Yeah...?" Ada gave a slow nod.
"They convinced some of those who didn't want to level up."
"So I assume they're still out, huh? That's pretty helpful of them."
Ada then turned towards the door and yelled out:
"You guys can place it outside!"
After she said that, a loud thump followed.
Everette and Jack were carrying the carcass of the Mutated Embering Bird.
"Phew!" Everette sighed as he felt his shoulder becoming sore from carrying it. He then looked to the side and saw Amelia showing Jack a webbing she had created using her new ability.

*Flash Back*
While everyone was staring at Amelia's affection towards Jack, they noticed a subtle glow radiating off the spider's corpse.
Jack, who also noticed this, immediately got up and brought Amelia towards it.
"J-jack! W-what are you doing—"
When she was in range, Eden notified her of a genetic nexus coming from the spider. She looked towards Jack for confirmation before getting a nod.
The glow from the spider died down. Everyone stared towards Amelia. Everette, however, stared towards Jack.
"Jack, what did you use your G.N. on?"
"Hm? G.N.?"
"It's just an abbreviation for Genetic Nexus."
"Oh...!" Jack nodded in understanding before holding up his index finger. Just above his fingertip appeared a small orange flame.
"I absorbed it. So now I guess I'm an arsonist, huh? Hahaha!"
Everette's eyes widened as he stared at the flame, 'This guy can produce fire!?'
"How big can you make it?"
"The flame? Uhm... I'm not sure. I can tell you it's a tier 3, though."
'T-tier 3!? His third ability is a tier 3 while I'm here with three tier ones!' Everette became envious of Jack's luck before sighing.
"That's great, buddy..." He then looked towards Amelia, "What're you gonna do?"
She thought for a bit before deciding her answer.
"I think I'll absorb it as well. I don't see it working well with a knife."
Everette nodded. Upon absorbing the Genetic Nexus, Amelia was covered in a subtle glow.
When the light died down, she stared into the air before tilting her head. She then pointed her finger at a wall.
A string of silk then shot out of her finger, sticking on the wall.
"AH!"
"Hahahaha!"
She then quickly pulled back her hand to
disconnect it. Jack's laughter resounded in her ear. She stared at him with a pout before pointing a finger at him.
He immediately held up his hands.
"H-hey... Let's take it easy."
Not too long after that, he was being chased while strings of silk passed by him from behind.

"How's the fire coming along, Jack?"
Everette called out towards the living lighter. Jack gave a thumbs up.
"Still getting the hang of it! But it'll probably be done soon!"
Everette nodded in satisfaction before hearing a crowd of footsteps. Turning around, he saw everyone that went out to level up return.
They were all stained with blood. Some of those who went out for the first seemed to be adapting well, while some seemed to still need some more time.
'That's quite understandable.' Everette knew it wasn't easy to get used to this sudden change.
From the crowd, a familiar face appeared and walked past him. Blonde hair rested behind her back while some locks of her hair were dyed purple.
'Leyla Storm...'
He then sighed before thinking back to the analysis.
'Revenge, huh? Did something happen?'
He remembered she wasn't in the group back in the boy's dormitory. He decided to ask Ada if she knew anything.
"Hm? A girl with blonde hair and purple eyes?" She repeated with a curious look.
"Why would you like to know?" Ada's eye turned sharp before narrowing.
Everette didn't know why, but he felt a little... unsettled when Ada asked him why. He then began to explain his analysis ability ["Potential Asset"] to her.
"Revenge, huh? It does make sense, really." The ominous aura around her receded. She then put on a thoughtful expression.
"I think I heard something about her lover being eaten alive." She explained with no change in her expression.
Everette's eyes widened in surprise before softening. He turned his gaze towards Leyla, who was seated alone in a corner with her legs tucked into her chest.
When his stare landed on her, he then felt a chill up his spine. Turning back around, he saw Ada wearing a smile and giving him a little wave.
'I guess I'm just feeling cold then.'
