Chapter 49 - Why Does She Love Me?

It has been about a week ever since Ronald's talk with Princess Sophia about fate, and he has noticed a significant change ever since then.

So what had actually happened during the past week?

Well nothing else really had changed besides continuing to walk around the forest everyday in order to leave footprints behind.

However, Ronald knew that something changed inside Princess Sophia ever since his made up story about fate.

'It seems that my initial thought about Princess Sophia liking me... was actually true?'

That's right, with everything Princess Sophia had done to Ronald in the past week, even a dense harem protagonist would be able to deduce that the girl likes him.

For the first three days after his talk with Sophia about fate, he noticed that Princess Sophia kept staring at him with some kind of weird look on her face every time he headed to bed and closed his eyes.

But he didn't think too much about it at the time since he just assumed that Princess Sophia was still wary of him.

However, after those three days of Princess Sophia just constantly staring at him during his sleep, Princess Sophia started to stroke his hair for about an hour everyday whenever he had his eyes closed.

If that was all Princess Sophia had done to him afterwards, then Ronald would've tried to turn a blind eye to it and pretended that he hadn't seen anything.

However, just yesterday about an hour after Ronald had gotten onto his bed, what Princess Sophia did nearly gave him a heart attack.

She had hopped right on his bed as well and slept with him for the whole night!

That was when Ronald knew for a fact that Princess Sophia loved him to a certain extent.

But what he didn't understand was how did Princess Sophia manage to fall in love with him.

What had he actually done in the last week and a half that made her fall in love with him?

Kidnap her?

What kind of shitty third-rate romance storytelling novel had he just transmigrated into?

Despite the fact that Ronald couldn't help but silently complain inside his heart, he wasn't actually too worried about the Princess falling in love with him.

Why?

Well first off, Princess Sophia isn't actually a heroine, she was at most a supporting character in the story despite her charming looks.

This meant that even if her personality had completely changed compared to her original personality in the novel, it wouldn't affect Ronald's future plots as much.

After all, Princess Sophia was actually never meant to meet Ronald in the first place.

At most, it'll just hinder some of Ye Fan's future adventures here and there.

But of course, he still couldn't kill her even if he wanted to.

Secondly, Ronald had the Villain's fate and aura.

So no matter what, the Princess's love and interest for him will slowly decrease overtime, and go back to the point where she'll absolutely loathe him.

Now if Princess Sophia was a villainess instead, then obviously he wouldn't have to worry about her falling in love with him in the first place.

On the contrary, he might even welcome her with open arms.

But sadly there wasn't that much villainess characters in this novel, at least not in the first half of the novel, since they had all fallen in love with Ye Fan instead anyways.

And not only that, but Ronald wasn't planning on having an intermediate relationship with any of the women in this novel world anyways, after all, he was going to die in about 7 years from now.

Well anyways, last but not least, after this whole Ronald kidnapping the Princess scheme was over, he wasn't planning on going to meet with the Princess in his entire life again.

So what if Princess Sophia had fallen in love with him, what could she do about it?

Move into the Kuangge's household?

Haha, please, she's the Princess of the Leighton family.

And besides, even though Ronald didn't know much about the Queen of the Leighton family, he knew that the Queen definitely wouldn't let Princess Sophia stay over at any man's house, let alone her kidnapper's home.

What sane mother would allow her daughter to do so in the first place?

Well with all of that being said...

"Person inside of the cave, we know that you're in there with the Princess! We have the entire premise surrounded, so come out with your hands up! This is your final warning before we open fire!" A commanding officer was screaming on the megaphone.

"Well Princess, it looks like you've won. It seems that in the end, I wasn't able to take my revenge." Ronald glanced at the Princess one last time before he started to head outside of the cave.

Even though Ronald could sense that there was a bunch of personnels including a ton of helicopters and tanks surrounding the cave, he knew that he could easily take them down if he wanted to.

But obviously he wasn't going to do that, his objective was to show the heroines that he was truly evil and make the heroines hate him without revealing his strength.

However, just as Ronald was about to step foot outside of the dark cave...

"Please wait! Let me go out first so I can cover for you! I'm sure that I can convince them to let you off the hook." Princess Sophia grabbed Ronald's hand as fast as she could and squeezed it tightly.

She wasn't planning on letting Ronald step foot out of the cave until she's positive that everything would turn out to be fine.

"Princess Sophia." Ronald said calmly to the Princess while his back was still facing towards her.

He wasn't surprised that Princess Sophia had tried to stop him.

"Y-yes?" Princess Sophia couldn't help but blush.

"Shut up." Ronald then grabbed Princess Sophia's hand and quickly moved her infront of him, afterwards he grabbed the piece of broken glass he had picked back up from the abandoned factory out of his pocket and then held it against her neck.

Then Ronald started to head out of the cave with the Princess...

One last time.

'Let's see if the fruits of my labor have paid off in the end.'
