Chapter 39 - Rescue Mission (5)

In a certain palace back over at the Western World...

"What? You're telling me that my daughter has just been kidnapped in China? Wasn't there about 30 elite bodyguards and a master martial artist escorting her? What happened to them?" The Queen of the Leighton family, Queen Helena, couldn't believe what she had just heard from one of the royal guards.

"Yes Your Majesty, according to the master martial artist, the person who had kidnapped Her Highness is supposedly a Grandmaster." The royal guard kneed down on one leg and respectfully relayed the information back to Queen Helena.

"A Grandmaster..." Queen Helena couldn't help but start to get even more and more worried for her daughter after hearing what the royal guard had said.

Queen Helena knew how strong Grandmasters were, and even though there were rumors circulating around that Grandmasters were completely non-existent now and there was none left in the entire world, the truth was that most of the Grandmasters were usually secluded in places that ordinary people couldn't come to and Grandmasters rarely came out from their seclusion spot.

However, what really worried Queen Helena the most was she knew exactly how strong Grandmasters were.

Queen Helena once had a conflict with a Grandmaster before, and the amount of resources and manpower she had to use in order to take one down was astronomically insane.

And not only that, but she also had to cooperate with other royal families out there and lay out a trap for the Grandmaster in order to actually take him down.

And as for why she couldn't just use heavy firepower in order to just take down the Grandmaster?

It was because she couldn't.

Although master martial artists could easily be taken down by any automatic guns and even semi-automatic firearms if one was lucky, for a Grandmaster, dodging bullets especially in an open area where they could freely move around was as easy as counting numbers for them.

"How accurate is this information? Are you sure that it's not just false information set up by the enemies in order to scare us?" Queen Helena doubted whether or not the information stated by the royal guard was true, she really didn't understand why a Grandmaster would want to try and ruin not only their reputation, but also risk their own life in order to just kidnap a Princess.

"No, Your Majesty, all of the bodyguards that were tasked with protecting and escorting Her Highness can also all testify as well."

"What does the other party want from us then? Has the Grandmaster requested anything yet?" Queen Helena knew that since the other party had decided to hold her daughter hostage, the other party clearly wanted something from her.

"Sadly no, Your Majesty, however Earl Ye Fan is currently confronting the Grandmaster right now as we speak."

"Earl Ye Fan is in China right now and is confronting the Grandmaster? That's great news! Tell Ye Fan to report back to me and inform me about the situation after he's finished confronting the Grandmaster." Queen Helena started to rekindle hope again after learning that Ye Fan was in China and confronting the Grandmaster.

Although Ye Fan didn't have the strength of a Grandmaster, just by looking at all of his achievements and titles, coupled with the fact that Ye Fan could easily take down multiple master martial artists alone, Queen Helena knew that Ye Fan was incredibly strong and could potentially rival against a Grandmaster.

And not only that, but she knew how grandiose Ye Fan's background was.

If that Grandmaster ends up killing Ye Fan, the sect that was behind him definitely wouldn't let the Grandmaster live to see another day.

"Yes, Your Majesty." The royal guard respectfully bowed his head and then exited the throne room.

After watching the royal guard leave, Queen Helena took a deep breath and then prayed that everything was going to be alright.

"Please be safe, my daughter."

"Look at how pathetic you look right now. Just imagine how all of your friends and comrades would react if they saw the current state you're in right now." After constantly beating up and kicking Ye Fan for an hour straight, Ronald grabbed the collar of Ye Fan's shirt with one hand and said in a mocking tone.

"Fuck you!" Ye Fan spat blood on the masked figure's mask while secretly looking at Princess Sophia from the corner of his eyes.

At first, Ye Fan had stayed completely quiet and didn't even bother making a ruckus infront of the masked man since he didn't even have the strength and energy to do so.

The masked man had beaten him up so hard that he was doing everything in his power to even stay conscious.

However, about a few minutes ago, he had noticed that Princess Sophia had somehow managed to get a piece of broken glass from the windows of the abandoned factory and quietly started to cut the ropes that was tying her up.

And then after Princess Sophia had fully cut both of the ropes off, she silently gestured to Ye Fan that she was going to use the broken piece of glass to stab the Grandmaster in the back and give Ye Fan a chance to counterattack.

So in order for the Grandmaster to fully focus on him and not hear Princess Sophia's footsteps, Ye Fan mustered all of his energy into screaming at the top of his lungs.

Just as Princess Sophia was about a few meters away from the masked man's back...

"Princess Sophia, if you don't want to end up being like Ye Fan, I suggest you obediently go back to where you originally got tied up and stay back there until I'm finished with Ye Fan." Ronald was completely aware that Princess Sophia had freed herself from the ropes awhile ago, however he wanted to see what Princess Sophia would do in a situation like this.

Both Ye Fan and Princess Sophia couldn't help but look at the masked man in complete shock right after the masked man had called them out.

Although they shouldn't be surprised by the fact that the masked man knew what they were planning to do, they couldn't help but started to feel despair.

They knew that was no viable way they would be able to escape from the clutches from the masked man.

The only thing that they could do now is pray for a miracle to happen.

"Did you two really think that I was that stupid? Please, that trick might work on some TV shows, but even a monkey would be able to realize that you guys were doing something fishy the moment Ye Fan had started acting up." Ronald then threw Ye Fan on the ground and then started to brutally beat him up again.

After a few more minutes of beating up Ye Fan, Ronald saw that Ye Fan was completely at his wits' end and decided that he was going to stop there.

"Any last words?" Even though Ronald wasn't actually going to kill Ye Fan, he was planning to knock Ye Fan unconscious and then scare the Princess by acting like he had killed Ye Fan.

"Go fuck yourself, faceless bastard." Ye Fan looked at the masked man, and said in an disdainful tone.

"Arrogant till the end, huh. Then goodbye..." Ronald then slowly lifted his fist up in the air.

And just as he was about to 'kill' Ye Fan infront of Princess Sophia's eyes...

"THE PERSON WITH THE MASK ON, PUT YOUR HANDS UP IN THE AIR." All of a sudden a bunch of police officers and special forces lead by Jiang Yixin entered the abandoned factory with all of their guns aimed at Ronald.

Ronald slowly looked up at Jiang Yixin, and smirked behind his mask.

'A heroine is finally here...'

'Step 1, making one of the heroines aware that Princess Sophia has been kidnapped.'

'Completed.'

'Now onto step 2.'
