Anka woke up suddenly.
After the previous sensation where the heart seemed to be pierced with needles, now it felt as if it had been pulled out of the water and could breathe again.
After she opened her eyes, something happened in her head. Image, scenes, emotions, actions... Thousands of informants assimilated in just 3 seconds.
Anka regained her memory along with the rest of her soul.
Those who threw her into another world, did it wisely. They split her soul in half and only one of them was thrown into that world.
Not many know that, not even her until a few seconds ago. Those in power who are in the universe are not stupid it seems. They probably suspected that without Death the universe would collapse, that's why they kept half as a precaution, who would have thought it wasn't enough?
Anka analyzed the separate memories of the two halves and was able to discern the order in which events occurred.
After their plan succeeded and they immobilized her temporarily, they cut off her soul. The first half was thrown into another world in a sealed form, while the other half was to be kept safe in a crystal prison.
It's a pity that as soon as the first half disappeared, the remaining one evaporated without a trace. It was no longer affected by the charms or the things that kept it bound and these leaders panicked, but luckily nothing happened to the world, at least that's what they thought.
For a short time, everyone thought that the Death Goddess was finished, and from now on there would be nothing so undesirable as death and they would have a change to live forever .

Without the Death goddess to accept them in the Cycle of Death, souls were stuck in the world of the living, wandering.

The whole world was in chaos. Things they never imagined they would face came out of nowhere less than 30 years after the Death goddess and living god disappeared.
Beings like black water , strange creatures, like shadows, cross the sheet of reality and invade the world of the living. These are empty creatures without intelligence, but influenced by the shadows.
It was only upon their appearance that the leaders of the various species realized that the gods were necessary.
So they called back those they had driven out.
Seven gods, alone with whom they could communicate.
However, even they did not know what these creatures were or what they wanted. Even if the gods had great powers they did not seem to affect these creatures. So they used religions corresponding to the primordial gods to summon them and pray for forgiven Using ancient rituals that required sacrifices.
They realized that these creatures were destroyed or influenced by the energy of death, but in contact with that of life it became stronger.
So they realized the purpose of these beings.
They wanted to eat their world , which was full of life energy .
Then they again lamented the absence of the Death goddess. However, regrets did not solve their problem...
They used every tool or relic that still had its breath, commendably temporarily blocking these beings for a while, but they all knew it was temporary. Then the 'madness' began. Each race began the study of souls and the attempt to call back the Death goddess through all kinds of strange rituals.

She witnessed their mourning, their regret, their punishments, their pains.
However, this doesn't change the fact that she can't do anything, even if she could , she still wouldn't. She was known for being merciless and disdainful of the beings created by the God of Life.
She had protected the world from the Shadow for a long time, she didn't even know the exact reason, but since then she took it as a hobby.
She doesn't do it for anyone, she always does what she wants to do...
Then something unexpected happened. Her soul (at least half of it) became attached to a woman.
Because it had happened too suddenly, the soul had not had time to notice very well.
Then after a few moments of darkness, the soul was born into the world as a living being in the form of a baby.
Well, rather baby fenix .
She became a little phoenix chick.
This little bird was black. Pure black from head to toe. Even eyes.
After only a few moments of life, she was already threatened with death by her own parents.
To proud phoenixes, having one of their own in black was offensive and ominous.
She was close to death many times because of this.
Fortunately, one of the fundamental laws of the world that could not be broken was: 'the offspring of superior beings cannot be eliminated until maturity'.
A strange rule if you think about it, yet it has saved life in the universe many times over.
Although this rule saved her life, it did not make it any easier. Since she only had half a soul, her reactions weren't as fast, and neither were her abilities.
Her childhood in the family ( or maybe is better to say the clan ) was terrible. It was the first time she was starting her new life with her memories, even if they were a little incomplete, that didn't stop her from knowing her true identity.
Maybe because she knew who she was, it was easier than in other wailing beginnings that were just as miserable.
However, at the age of 40, which was still considered young for phoenixes, her memories were erased. Apparently her halved soul could not store many things and began to erase from the existing ones.
It was like a vessel with a hole. Over time, it became empty and the filling speed was very low, that's why 5 years ago, about the age of 200 years of this body. All her memories were completely erased. And her long-term memory was greatly affected.
She had prepared in advance and always carried a little book to tell her what to do in case she forgot something. There she wrote her name, species, home and people she could believe.
That's why she formed a habit of writing everything down on paper. That way she could check in case she forgot and save herself a lot of trouble.
Her family situation was a bit delicate. Since phoenixes do not have a very strong fertility, the number of offspring is not many. With her are around 9 young phoenixes under 250 years old.
She is the biggest of them but also the strongest. Ironically, even though her soul is wounded, being a half god made her very strong.
That's why she was somewhat controlled by the clan, yet they didn't know much about her, that's why they didn't find out that her memory was defective, and the girl made sure that no one found out.
Fortunately, her personality was slow since childhood and no one suspected her when she didn't answer or talk.
What attracted more attention to Anka was something else . Apparently the phoenix clan is planning something big. On the surface they want peace with dragons with whom they have been at war for over 10,000 years, but in private they want to eliminate them once and for all.
She wouldn't care if it was just that, but apparently the way to peace was through a contractual marriage between the stronger children , and that made her the direct participant.
Apparently this contractual marriage breakdown was planned since she was born. And she was nailed right away, but no one brought her up because she was considered a minor.
But 5 years ago on the very day she lost all her remaining memories, on her 200th birthday, her mother informed her of this fact and since she didn't say anything at that time the engagement was already done.
Not that if she were opposed, they would be let go and listen.
Anyway, the annoying situation is that she is now betrothed to a dragon . Their identity was kept secret to prevent those who did not want the war to stop from intervening , so even she didn't know who she got engaged to...
That was not important though, as she would rather kill the entire phoenix race , than marry someone even in name, who is weaker than her , and inferior.
She would not marry any of these inferior and stupid beings.
