Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: The Revelations and New Beginnings

The room buzzed with excitement and camaraderie as Aiden stood before the team, overseeing the virtual reality training of Mia. The simulation was tailored to help her adapt to her new abilities, and Aiden watched with a critical eye.

"Well done, Mia," Aiden said with a nod of approval. "You're picking this up quickly."

The team had gathered around, and Aiden called for a meeting, excluding Sofia who was out recruiting. The group settled in, some snacking on potato chips and exchanging casual banter.

"So, Aiden," Olivia said as she munched on a chip, "what happened in the dungeon? We've all been eager to hear the details."

Aiden began recounting his experiences. "The dungeon was a jungle, and it was packed with dangerous creatures, including a lot of ogres. I had to take them down one by one, and I ended up creating a new sword skill that combines magic, aura, and internal strength. I've named it 'Arcane Tempest Slash.'"

Jake, still focused on his chips, grinned. "Sounds like quite the battle. What's the deal with the Speedster Zombie the team encountered?"

Aiden shook his head. "That wasn't me. The Speedster Zombie was encountered by the team on the streets. It was a huge challenge, and they gave it that name for its speed and unpredictability. I've decided to keep the name 'Speedster Zombie' for clarity."

He then outlined the levels of zombies:

Level 1 Zombies: Basic undead, minimal threat.

Level 2 Zombies: Slightly more agile and resilient.

Level 3 Zombies: Enhanced physical abilities, tougher to kill

.Level 4 Zombies: Begin to show signs of tactical thinking.

Level 5 Zombies: Almost human in appearance, can control other zombies and lead herds. They're highly dangerous and intelligent.

"The higher the level, the more dangerous the zombies become. Level 5 zombies can lead entire hordes, making them particularly lethal," Aiden explained.

As the discussion continued, Aiden recalled the tiger meat he had retrieved from the dungeon. He pulled it out of his inventory and handed it to Marco, who was eager to prepare a special meal for the team.

"Marco, think you can work some magic with this?" Aiden asked, handing over the meat.

Marco's eyes lit up. "Absolutely! This is going to be a treat."

The team gathered around, eagerly anticipating the feast. The rich aroma of the meat filled the room, and spirits were high as they prepared for dinner.

After the excitement of the meal preparations, Aiden turned his attention to the dungeon core he had brought back. He approached Mia, who was observing the scene with curiosity.

"Mia, come here," Aiden called, holding out the glowing dungeon core. "Touch this."

Mia approached hesitantly and placed her hand on the core. A surge of energy flowed through her, and her eyes widened in astonishment.

"What is this?" Mia exclaimed, her voice filled with wonder. "It's like a whole new world has opened up inside me."

The room erupted in laughter, the team reminiscing about their own initial reactions to awakening.

"Welcome to the club," Olivia said with a friendly smile. "You've awakened as a mage—a thunder mage, no less. It's a rare and powerful class. Don't worry about the system; we'll help you get used to it."

Olivia guided Mia through the basics of the system, explaining how to navigate her new abilities and skills. Mia listened intently, absorbing the information as Olivia detailed the path ahead and the potential for growth.

As Mia adjusted to her new role, Aiden looked on with satisfaction. The team was growing stronger, each member finding their place and contributing to their collective mission. Aiden knew that with Mia's addition, they were one step closer to overcoming the challenges that lay ahead.
