It was midnight. I couldn't sleep, everyone else was sleeping peacefully. Azrael wasn't around, he said that he got an urgent call and had to go to heaven like ASAP. I rolled in my bed for a while before receiving a text from Daniel.
Daniel: You need to go to the park, downtown. I'll explain everything there.
Is that he can't also sleep, but there was this serious tone in his voice, still sleeply I threw a white hoodie over my head and walked downtown to the park. At the park was Tyler, Daniel and a girl I've never seen but recognised back at the library. She had short wavy blonde hair with hazel eyes and was dressed in a black T-shirt and white shorts and shoes.
"What's going on Daniel, it's literally past midnight?" I asked while yawning. Daniel looked at the girl who just let out a sigh.
"Professor Maxwell called me an hour ago. There's a factory at another neighborhood, it's shutdown due to strange reasons but there's a rumor going on that there's a demon there. And he thinks we should check out. I'm Jane by the way." The girl explained while introduction herself.
"But why at this time?" I asked.
"Well, after the rumours started the community police decided to put the place under strict security which starts from six and ends at ten in the night. So our best time is now." Jane explained, we headed to an abandoned factory that looked like it was from the 90's. There were several signs on it. Some of them read: "Ricky's Chocolate Factory since 2009". Ok that's normal but then there were the ones in a red substance got my attention:
Stay out! I mean it.
Enter at your own risk.
I found everyone else, what shows I won't find you?
Tyler looked at the sign before nodding his head.
"Yup. This is the factory alright." He said.
"Pardon? Jane asked.
"Last year, people were trying to figure out if this factory is haunted. They were never found. They all had a spider like figure attacking them before the camera went black." Tyler explained.
"So, a spider demon?" Daniel asked.
"What is this? Demon slayer?!" I asked. Everyone looked at me with "seriously, that's what you're thinking about?".
"Lets just enter." Daniel said while opening the door, it creaked so loud that it could wake up the neighborhood, luckily it didn't. We entered one by one and started walking around, there were spider webs everywhere.
Jane pulled out her phone and started taking pictures of anything that seemed out of place, like the red stains on the wall or the eyeballs we saw in a box with chocolate syrup poured on it (that won't stop me from eating chocolate). The place was dead silent and I didn't like that. So I tried starting a conversation to lighten up the atmosphere.
"So what do we know about this weird factory. I'll start: absolutely nothing." I said.
"Well I heard that the owner, Richard McCarthy was afaird of losing customers so he sold his soul to a demon." Daniel said.
"I heard that Richard didn't keep to his end of the deal and the demon started to kill the employees there." Tyler added.
"Some of the people who entered the factory while recording saw dead bodies hanging on the ceiling before dying." Jane added. Maybe I should have just shut my mouth, we reached the packing section where we saw dead body number one. It first started as a hand in a box but when we opened it we saw a dismembered human with a terrified look on the face. There were no eyes and all the organs where ripped out, by it was a note by the body that read:
Too sour, needs a little more CHOCOLATE.
We continued our mission looking for a demon we don't even know what we'll do if we find it. More bodies, blood stained messages with descriptions of the body consumed. Finally we reached the CEO's office with one last body. This one had chocolate smeared on it. That message said:
Just right don't you think? Angelina.
I froze, what is my name doing there?
"Guys, what's my name doing there?" I asked feeling a few cobwebs on my skin.
"Richard had a daughter named Angelina. And judging by the expression on the victim's face. This is a recent murder." Jane said.
"That's BevStac's body." Tyler said.
"Who?" Daniel and I asked in confusion.
"She was the last YouTuber to try investigating the mystery behind the factory. She disappeared like two weeks ago." Tyler explained. Suddenly we heard the door shut behind us, someone was in here right now with us. In a tiny corner, I spotted two black beady eyes, no four or six. No eight black beady eyes. On instinct I activated my rhema.
"Hmm, I was right. You guys aren't regular humans." An old rusty voice said. I held my sword which was glowing in a bright golden aura.
"Who are you?" I asked pointing the sword at the eyes direction. Suddenly I heard Jane scream, we turned. She was gone, when I turned again it was Tyler that disappeared. I looked at Daniel who was confused like me. Suddenly a string of webs came attaching itself to Daniel before dragging him into the dark. I closed my eyes thinking it was just a dream but when I opened my eyes, I saw a creatures with no hands but eight legs and two mouths.
"I could ask the same thing. Angelina." The creature said before I was pulled straight into the darkness
