Chapter 16 - Zhang Feng gets screen time.

Zhang Feng was obviously worried about his brother, he's an insane chap and with little money too. Going to sleep in his new dorm room was a bit hard that night.

"Its still a week before school starts, Zhang Jian is a person from earth, he can manage by himself. Its just how will he get money to go to school, and if he had money, what school would take him?" Thoughts of worry like that put him to sleep.

The next day was spent collecting the materials he would need for his education. Yunhua's campus was massive, easy to get lost in. Zhang Feng felt more at ease by the end of the day when he got most of the materials he would need for this years syllabus.

With two large bags in his hand, he walked back to his dorm in the afternoon. Zhang Feng noticed a boy getting ragged by a few others on his way back, he paid no more attention as he was too busy to care that much.

In his dorm room, Zhang Feng sat cross-legged on his bed. He was ready to do it, to cultivate.

About damn time too, I was forgetting the kind of novel I was writing here.

Zhang Feng focused his mind on his Spirit, eyes closed, hands together. He felt his Spirit Energy coursing through channels of his body, begging to release from his pores. Zhang Feng could feel his Spirit as if it were a muscle like any other, its like if the Spirit Energy is fire, the Spirit Essence would be a pool of oil.

A massive boiling sphere of pure Spirit Essence could be felt within his body spiritually. From the books that he read, refining his own Spirit Essence would take a lot of energy and time, he needed to mold his own Spirit, stretch it and retract, compress and release.

And so he did, with all his willpower he forced his Spirit Essence to contract upon itself...

Zhang Feng passed out.

Zhang Feng woke up drooling across the floor, he heard noises outside his room. He had dried blood from his nose "Must have exerted myself too much." And he got up and went to go get himself cleaned.

After cleaning the mess he made of himself, Zhang Feng spotted the other students who were also staying at the dorms before school started, they had all gathered around a bulletin board.

The evening orange light shed a good view onto the paper stuck onto it, Zhang Feng asked one of the boys who stood on the outside what the fuss what about.

"That hottie S Grade was nearly assassinated, apparently some guy our age saved her. Lucky bastard" Zhang Feng was a little put off by how these guys behaved, but then again they were teenagers.

"what's the guys name?" Zhang Feng had a small miniscule thought at the back of his head "what if its him"

"I don't know let me ask one of the guys in the front." He called out to one of his friends, asked who the lucky guys name was. "THE BASTARDS NAME IS ZHANG JIAN."

"Just how the hell does he get himself into these situations?" Zhang Feng went to his room to wait out the crowd, after the hour passed and it turned nighttime. It was a day before the full moon. Zhang Feng looked at the paper on the bulletin board with the help of the moonlight.

"Zhang Jian heroically... The Ling family is very.... Was compensated 200 Yin." Zhang Feng read through the entire article, nowhere did it mention that he was F Grade. Zhang Feng guessed that people just wont believe an F Grade like his brother can defeated people more experienced than him.

"200, damn, that's a lot of money." His worries were mostly soothed, now Zhang Jian wont have to worry about where to sleep, eat or drink again. Zhang Feng still wished his brother could be in the same school as him.

"Happy for your brother?" Zhang Feng turned, surprised by the sudden voice and the fact that they know who Zhang Feng and Zhang Jian are. It was a girl around his age and stature, silver haired with red eyes.

"My name is Yin Yue, its a pleasure to finally meet you." She struck out her hand, Zhang Feng was a bit skeptical. "How do you know me? And why are you in the boys dormitories?"

"Ah, my apologies, I know you because I am also from the Lan Tian clan. As for why I'm-" Zhang Feng ignited his Spirit energy, a little duller than his brothers. His hand covered in a orange flame-like coating, Zhang Feng almost sliced Yin Yue's head off, his hand was at her neck.

"If you are from the Lan Tian clan then why are you here? Were you sent to capture us?" She raised both her hands like she was at gunpoint "Just hear me out, I was sent to capture you yeah, I wont lie to you. But I'm betraying the mission, I quit."

Zhang Feng thought about it for a minute, sweat ran down Yin Yue's face in a panic. Finally he brought down his head and deactivated the coating. Yin Yue let out a deep breath, Zhang Feng was also sweating, he's not the type to threaten people, this was his first time.

"So then why are you here?" they stood on the wooden floor by the courtyard of the boys dormitories, speaking quietly as to not wake up anyone who was sleeping, but even if they spoke louder it wouldn't matter as everyone was cultivating at this time.

"I don't want to be apart of that wretched clan, I was always planning on fleeing. I want to go to school here." Yin Yue looked away, as if it were hard for her to get this out. "I see, then why are you in the boys dormitories?"

She blushed "I got lost.."

Yin Yue left after that interaction and Zhang Feng returned to his room. Determined to refine his own Spirit, even if its just a little bit.

He sat down, closed his eyes and crossed his legs. Zhang Feng's Spirit Essence looked like a perfect sphere of pure orange color. Zhang Feng spent the rest of the night refining his own Spirit.

A few days later a letter came in for Zhang Feng, it was from his brother. "Dear Elder Brother, Do not worry about me, you may have seen an article about me..." Zhang Jian has found a mentor and he has enough money, along with the letter he also sent 50 Yin.

Zhang Feng's worries had completely left him now, and he can start his classes with assurance that his brother is safe.

In Qingyun, a brown haired lady around Zhang Jian's height sat with him in a carriage as they reached a mansion. "Do you really need a disguise? Isn't this your house?" Zhang Jian asked in a bit of confusion.

"Of course I do, there's a reason nobody knows about me." Qing She said, her disguise looked completely different from her normal form and yet was still beautiful regardless.

Zhang Feng was to begin his classes and Zhang Jian was to begin his training. But this was only the beginning.
