Nicholas's POV
I stay among the gatherings of close friends and watch Anna from a far among her brothers and mother.
The ceremony was planned to be a short one, the death of the chairman was still a shocking reality that many have not come to accept.
The ceremony has barely started when Anna falls backwards drawing the attention of the crowd, some move away as if scared of an invisible force.
I watch her intently and notice the fatigue on her face before the unimaginable happened.
She fell backward again but passed out this time.
I rushed over in the same instance, people already surrounded her when I got close and my heart dropped when I saw the blood dripping from her shoulder.
What is this?.
"She has been shot, someone, please call the emergency!" Anthony yelled and a commotion broke out.
I got close enough to hold her hands and they are surprisingly cold.
She was losing a lot of blood and fast too.
