I was still reeling in the strangeness of everything, how I happened to know a lot of things and almost nothing at the same time.
Nicholas is fine after all and it seems Dad has been betrayed by his biggest ally.
I hate politics and the schemes people play to get what they want in high society.
All I want is to get my own happy-ever-after and go far away from all these drama but that seems like a dream that has no intention to be true.
"Are you okay now?
To kill someone you need to be in the best state of mind" Nicholas asked echoing what I had said a few seconds ago.
"This feels surreal" I whispered to myself but he caught it.
"A lot of these things are pretty unbelievable if you ask me, like your marriage to Rafe. Why did you sign the papers?" He asked, turning his full attention to me.
His eyes looked at me straight and not relenting.
