Anna's POV
"Sit down Anna" Anthony repeated again after I refused the first time.
Dad has been transferred to a ward and we were told he was stable.
I felt tired and my head was throbbing from all the yelling.
I stood beside his bed and watched helplessly as different machines were connected to him.
"It's just a gunshot, why are all these connected to him?" I turned to ask the nurse that was about to leave.
"It narrowly missed his heart, he is in a critical condition. He will be fine after proper care" she said before going out.
"I need some fresh air" I said to Anthony and Nathaniel before I also left the room.
It's funny that I cried the most today, I don't know how much he meant to me until now.
My phone rang out in the quiet rest room.
I absentmindedly answered the call.
Anna?" Nicholas's voice reached my ears from the phone.
Oh Nick.
My eyes filled to the brim again, he must have heard the news.
