Anna's POV
I was a bit taken by surprise when Nicholas gave me the ring as a token of his love.
I know that I no longer despise him but I'm still uncertain on how to define what I feel towards him. And I'm not sure if love is what I'm feeling.
I had teased him a bit but I wasn't expecting him to take me seriously.
"Are you alright?" His voice interrupted my thoughts and I snapped out of my reverie to see that we are now at my house.
"I'm alright, thank you for tonight" I said smiling at him.
He nodded and I waited a little bit.
We sat in silence and stared at each other for a few seconds before he leaned in and kissed me briefly on the lips.
"I'm letting you go tonight with that," he said softly after pulling back.
"Or do you want more?" He asked when I did not move or say anything.
"No, there are cameras here. We will get in trouble" I said, putting a hand forward to stop him. He looked around and nodded in agreement.
