Chapter 22 - Ana Mors.

From a street rat to one of the most powerful mages on the continent the name Ana Mors was synonymous with hard work and talent, at least until the war of unification.

During the war , she accomplished god like feats that set her apart from all mages. Had it not been for the presence of the bloody emperor , she be hailed as the strongest mage in history surpassing even the likes of the founding emperor .

The two became the pillars of all mages through out the world with the king representing power and talent while Ana represented the results of hard work.

While the enemies of the empire named her the witch of despair , the citizens of the empire glorified her as the maiden of benevolence .

This is due to all the charity work she was involved in, such as the fact that she owned around three different orphanages with rumors that she actually owns more secretly .

It is also known that she's the one who pioneered the field of magic medicine and revived the once diminishing art of medicine.

In an era where all thought the only use for magic was taking lives , only she thought of using it to heal the common man.

As though no that weren't enough , she banded together the scattered physicians and systemized medicine.

She also spent a great deal of her own money sponsoring medical research , alchemy and mechanics.

She also set up the first University open to all , be it nobles or commoners all were welcome.

The subjects taught ranged from magic, alchemy , mechanics , medicine and after the war knighthood training.

More subjects such as politics, agriculture and religion we're added over time making the university the largest beacon of education on the continent.

As time went on with the aid of the emperor, the famous imperial college merged with the Mors university adding more credibility and. Of course relieving stress from the imperial treasury .

The imperial court tried taking control of the university only to be paid a visit by Ana Mors herself. The imperial family itself then managed to gain ten percent of the shares after the merger.

No corruption , all are equal , hard work is repaid and for the betterment of the world.these are the few Hardline rules for when one enters the university.

This forced the nobles growing pride down as one required papers for work after the revision of the laws and the epic growth of the imperial family's influence and power through the knights.

The fact that every official knight had the rank of baron with the ability to grow in rank due to merit further solidified the status of knights especially those that managed to become bannermen.

The empire started transforming into a meritocracy with the nobles adapting suprisingly quickly.

Many nobles even started recruiting commoners into their family with the talent to become knights.

The number of people enrolling became so numerous that an entire city was assigned to the university.

As the no years passed by and more talents we're produced in the university with some becoming ministers to the ever expanding influence of the empire a momentous occasion occurred ,Ana Mors released the be ring theory of magic circuitry.

As though the humans weren't already a step ahead, this put magehood a step above.

The theory started by circulating in the imperial family then the nobility closest to the emperor, and finally the direct vassals. By the time it reached the public , the upper society had already made the necessary changes to the circuit.

As though in competition, the knights produced their fast master, Silvia.

As these two were propelling the fields of magic and knighthood,

The house of Bravo's son Levi Bravos was undertaking the harsh task of silencing any rebellious thoughts through out the lands of the empire.

This seemed to include members of nobility from enemy races with close ties to the dragon races.

The fact that the dragon races were inhabiting the impenetrable mountain ranges south of the continent made communication close to impossible .

This was further exusterbated by the fact that they were the very symbol for pride and power.

They became aloof from the world and only supervised from afar when they felt like.

Levi from the beginning of the war to the no end and even past it made it a point to prevent communication with the dragons by any means necessary for as long as possible.

It seemed though that it had finally reached that limit.
