For the past five years, Azrael Mors has been leading what some might call an adventurous life and what he considered a monotonous life.
After his first assasination his talents finally truly caught the attention of the higher-ups.
Though if that was to his demerit or benefit is debatable.
He made sure to erase any connections to the old man and his knowledge of necromancy, making sure to only show his dark magic as only good for paltry tricks.
He continued to work in a team with Sammy as the leader yet he'd at times receive some personal missions which was a rather unusual.
Azrael made himself seem slightly above average in all he did all while spreading his influence through the organization to the point that he knew the identities of the higher-ups except the dark crow.
By the three years mark after his first assasination he had a quarter of the organization in his palm ,it was also the time he put the first portion of the plans in play, using some of his authority, he was going to get a meeting the upper echelon of the black crows .
....
Boss's POV:
I'd called a meeting for the upper echelon of the organization regarding the growing cancer of the organization, nights faction.
A faction that simply sprang up out of no where from with. In the organization. Made up of the most competent of our man power, it proved hard to kill them all.
From the cooks and administrators to the greatest assassins, the list of suspected members of his faction continue to grow by the day with many succumbing to the lore of benefits.
The fact that she a level four mage was losing control of her own organization to a fifteen years old brat was truly infuriating.
It was in the middle of all these thoughts that I was about to start the meeting only to be interrupted by a nervous messenger approaching me.
Lily was my dependable assistant that had helped me since my lowest period of my life, meaning she'd seen many perilous situations yet Even she was nervous.
As she reached me , she set up a silencing and obscuring barrier which seemed Overkill until I heard what she had to say , ' the topic of this meeting,' night' had requested a meeting with me by name' .
The fact that even my loyal surbodinates didn't know my true identity spoke volumes of the severity of the situation.
Lily being a close friend and confidant was likely the only living individual of the crows that knew of my situation and identity.
The fact that she's under a strict soul contract made it impossible to sell out my identity.
Calming my nerves , I asked her to let him in .
And in came a fifteen years old boy a few inches taller than me radiating fluctuations of a level three mage on the casp of reaching the fourth level.
This was not only mind numbing but also a complete impossibility.
Forget the fact that he's had people spying on him all this time and still managed to achieve fits that take individuals a decade to achieve but the fact that he had done so even under my eyes was a slap to me as well.
Looking at the slightly thin black haired boy wearing a black rat mask , I couldn't help but feel a twitch at my lips .
After his first mission , he's never shown his face to anyone. Adding a little layer of mystery to himself yet the masks he uses always carry a childish intent behind them .
'"I'm truly sorry for meeting under such circumstances but I had no choice, at this rate the organization will collapse like all others before it and all this is due to the fault in some of the management"
Before I could say anything to rebuf such a statement , he not only spoke about the growing resentment of the field crows but also the growing vigilance of the imperial family towards our organization.
This was of course something we all knew but when he talked about the growing number of spies in the organization , a chill ran down my spine making the rest emenate a pulpable killing intent.
