Chapter 29 - Disappointment

"Julian, do you know him?"

Given the question, Julian, who is none other than my cousin, immediately nodded. Turning his attention back to me, Julian asked with curious tone, "How did you become a member of Six Elites? Last time I remember, you couldn't even use basic spells properly."

At first, I didn't feel any malicious intent in Julian's words, but my thoughts changed after the representatives of the other four noble clans asked him, "Julian, you said that he is not even qualified to be a spellcaster?"

Julian nodded and told them the fact that my body was not fit to be a spellcaster because my body did not have a normal mana capacity.

Axel, who heard that, immediately turned his gaze to Reinhardt and asked in a mocking tone, "If a person like him can be accepted as a member of the Six Elites, it seems that the Six Elites lack geniuses in the academy."

The statement was greeted by laughter from several members of the four noble clan representatives, while Reinhardt and the other members of the Six Elites stared at the representatives of the four noble clans with cold gazes.

"Axel, as your little brother, I want to remind you not to look for trouble with every new person you meet. You never know if that person has fangs to tear your body apart."

Reinhardt said it with a cold gaze. Everyone could feel that Reinhardt was really angry. The main purpose of the gathering was to discuss team divisons and tasks, but who knows when it all turned into a conversation to insult me.

Pointing at me with an undisguised expression of disdain, Axel said, "Reinhardt, do you mean he could beat? Who are you kidding here?"

I shook my head in front of everyone and said in a cold, disdainful tone, "The purpose of the Six Elites and the representatives of the four noble clans gathering is to discuss cooperation to ensure the smooth running of the autumn festival, but all you are talking about right now is insulting me. I don't know what problem you have with me, who was just sitting here quietly enjoying the food. But as the representative of the Zephyr Magic Academy, let me say this clearly in front of you, the representatives of the four noble clans. You have no class as a noble and can only bark like dogs. A gathering like this is not useful or helpful in resolving the problem. All of you are doing is creating trouble and hostility."

Carrying a plate of food and a glass of drink, I stood up and said, "You guys can continue this stupid meeting, but I'm leaving. I won't be able to hold back my urge to cut you all down one by one if I stay here any longer."

Without caring about what they thought, I immediately walked away to get out of the room filled with a bunch of losers.

Just when my hand was about to reach the doorknob, I stopped in my tracks and asked in a cold tone, "What do you mean by drawing your sword like that at me?"

The figure who had just drawn her sword towards me was a girl who was a retainer of one of the four representatives of the four noble clans.

The girl drew her sword while looking at me with an expressionless gaze.

Meanwhile, the only woman among the representatives of the four noble clans looked at me and said, "If I let you out of this room after humiliating the representatives of the four noble clans like that, we will become the butt of public jokes. If you don't want to get hurt, you better sit back down in the seat that has been provided for you. You need to know that I am Jeanne Vermilion, the sole daughter of the Vermilion clans, and the girl who is pointing her sword at you is Chacha Cashina, one of my most talented retainers."

Julius Arcane looked at me with a very satisfied look in his eyes. Everything that happened made me even more disappointed. I thought the four noble clans were filled with great youth, but in the end, they were just a bunch of losers who thought they were above everyone else.

The other members of the Six Elites were still sitting quietly in their respective seats but it was clear that hostility had been formed and there was no longer any mutual respect in their eyes.

As a younger brother, Reinhardt said a words to his older brother, Axel, "I already warned you. You ruined everything with your arrogance, brother."

Taking a deep breath, I said, "I never thought this would happen today, but it seems it was inevitable."

Coating my body with a mana membrane, I started my attack by stepping on the tip of the toes of the girl standing right behind me followed by pouring a glass water into her eyes and ending with a measured kick that hit her solar plexus.

Even though she threatened me with her sword, I could feel that it was just a show of strength, it convinced her that I would submit, making her let her guard down. That's when I choose to attack right away.

Jeanne Vermilion who saw her retainer being thrown away by my kick immediately stood up and stared at me with hatred. I also returned her gaze while saying, "Who do you think we are? We are the Six Elites! A servant can't possibly stop us if we want to get out of this place. If you are not happy, you can come to challenge me but I need to remind you beforehand that all who dare to provoke me will be destroyed by my hands."

It was at that moment that the other five members of the Six Elites smiled and walked out of the room. In order to avoid bloodshed, both sides refrained from attacking because if that happened, a bigger problem would await them.

I also immediately apologized because all the trouble that happened because of me who can't control my emotions, but Reinhardt and the others didn't have a problem with it because they also understand how arrogant the four noble clans were. Besides, they also said that what I did was right. They were the Six Elites, representatives of the Zephyr Magic Academy.
