Chapter 15 - The Last Preparation

Lightning Plasma is the name of the spell that I just created. This spell is a special spell that does not require incantation. The requirement is to manipulate the electric elements in my body and release them in the form of a punch. Of course, even though it does not require incantation, it still requires mana in its use because what is converted into electricity is none other than the mana in my own body.

The destructive power of this spell is very high because electricity contains a very intense level of heat. Even some areas of Mega Thunder Super Metal Armstrong's body melted from my punch.

Most likely, the reason why I was able to survive its electric attack was because my body was protected by a layer of mana membrane, and my physique was also strengthened by a Power-Up spell. In addition, I also managed to awaken the electric element in my body. An element that has an affinity with my body. It reduced the impact of the damage caused by the electricity emitted by Mega Thunder Super Metal Armstrong.

When the wild electric current in the test field had completely disappeared, I cancelled both of the spells I used and stopped manipulating the mana inside my body into electricity. I smiled because my crazy idea had worked perfectly even though right now my body felt so tired. After all, the combination of spells I used consumed a lot of mana at once, especially in the process of awakening electric elements in my body. To overcome it I quickly sat down and meditate.

Vivianne, Lichtalia, and several Hall of Armament students who were at the location immediately walked towards where I was.

Lichtalia observed my condition carefully while Vivianne looked at the destroyed Mega Thunder Super Metal Armstrong. Vivianne quickly ordered the students around her to immediately clean up and take Mega Thunder Super Metal Armstrong's body parts to another room for further examination later.

"How is he?" Vivianne asked Lichtalia who was watching me closely.

"Aside from some parts of his clothes being burned, there were no signs of injuries on his body at all. It was just exhaustion from using a bit too much mana considering the amount of mana capacity in Ace's body was far less than the average spellcaster."

Vivianne smiled as she became more interested in me. Despite having a much lower mana capacity and even being considered a handicap for a spellcaster, I was able to withstand high-voltage electric attacks and even destroy a giant robot body made of special metal in one punch. Something impossible for spellcasters in general. It was no wonder why Vivianne was interested in me or, rather, in every abnormality I showed.

I opened my eyes after feeling that I had gotten enough mana. Although it wasn't full, the amount of mana that I had collected at least made me not feel as tired as before.

Letting out a triumphant smile, I said to the girls who were currently watching my condition seriously, "You don't need to worry about me, I'm fine. Besides, aren't there more important things we should be doing right now?"

Vivianne smiled slightly as she realized what I meant.

"You just finished fighting and you want to finish the transaction with me immediately? You don't have to worry, I am one of the six elites, Vivianne Blanch, I will not break my promise. As per agreement, I will sell you the sword. But the question is, can you afford to pay for it?"

I chuckled when I heard what she said.

"I may be known as the worst loser in this academy but don't forget my last name is Arcane. Tell me the amount I have to pay and I will buy the sword right now."

"If you don't say it, I will definitely forget that fact. Follow me."

Vivianne immediately led me and Lichtalia to another room. At first, I though Vivianne would immediately take me to the room where the sword she promised to sell was. But it turned out she took me to a special room that only she could enter. For the first time since the room was created, she brought someone else into it.

Without waiting for me or Lichtalia to ask what this room was, Vivianne had explained it to both of us first.

It turns out that this room is the room where Vivianne created a life-sized robot powered by mana. The robot is called Android. M41D is an example of one Android model that she created.

The main reason why Vivianne showed me this room had to do with the transaction between the two of us.

"Ace, as I said before, I honestly have no interest in selling the sword you want. But since the deal has been made, I will sell it to you. However, I am not interested in money at all. I only want one thing, you!"

Lichtalia looked shocked to hear Vivianne's firm words. Her eyes widened and both of her hands covered her mouth as Lichtalia looked at Vivianne and me repeatedly.

Vivianne, who saw Lichtalia's expression, immediately realized that her words did sound ambiguous. The girl quickly continued her words to clear up any misunderstandings that had occurred.

"Don't get me wrong, what I mean is your fighting ability and not what Lichtalia thinks right now."

Nodding in understanding, I asked, "What do you want me to do?"

"I heard that you defeated fifty spellcaster single-handedly in the dueling arena. I want you to show me your fighting moves. I won't hide anything, I want to create a combat android that can fight with spellcasters without requiring a large supply of mana in each individual. It just so happens that you fit the criteria for that. You get where I'm going, right?"

Her words were so clear like that. How could I not understand?

"Your goal is to collect my combat techniques data for your future combat android designs, correct?"

Lichtalia, who heard our conversation, immediately interrupted with a question, "Wait a minute, isn't your fighting technique a technique that is specifically taught to students from the Hall of Combat only? Don't you need to discuss this with your teacher first?"

I understood what made Lichtalia feel uneasy. A weapon was exchanged for a technique that was only taught to a certain magic division. The price was too high, and even the technique was worth more than the weapon I wanted, considering the historical value and secrets it contained.

I smiled at Lichtalia and said, "Thank you, Lichtalia. Your concern shows how pure your heart is. You are a very kind girl. But don't worry, I'm sure my teacher agrees too. The Hall of Combat has not appeared in the world for a hundred years. The duel will be a good opportunity to reappear before the world. There is no point in keeping a technique if it is not used and forgotten over time. It would be more useful if the technique becomes a means of payment as a ticket to be recognized by the world again."

Turning my gaze towards Vivianne, I said, "I agree. I will show you the fighting technique that I used when I fought and defeated fifty spellcasters by myself. In exchange, give me the sword I want right now."

Starting from that moment, a fate-changing transaction commenced.
