Mel
"Yes!. I'm a werewolf too" Freddy announced. Shit!
I moved all the way from Beverly hills running from becoming a werewolf only to jump right into the middle of werewolves again?.
How lucky can a girl get?, Sarcastically.
"Mel, I didn't want to keep it away from you" Freddy said.
"Yeah, I see" I swallowed the lump in my throat and headed back into the school trying to remain calm and think of the next thing to do. Transfer out!.
"Where are you going Mel?" Freddy asked catching up to me.
"I'm going out of this place that had monsters" I walked even faster.
"You just got here like a few days ago and you're transferring?."
"I have a genuine reason to leave. What if I get attacked by..." I couldn't mention the name, "I'm leaving for my own safety."
"I hate to say, you might not find another school to take you in."
"Then I'll just drop out of school."
"There is no harm coming to you here, we live in peace with the human, we don't harm them and only a few know about us, welcome to that club by the way."
The perfume must still be very valid, he thinks I'm a human. My mother and aunt had made me wear the perfume everyday of my life, for my own safety she says. My aunty gave me more as I left Beverly hills.
"I don't want to be in the club, I want to live a normal teenage life with humans and have an epic and memorable highschool experience with human, which is what I am" I halted before mixing up the turn I was supposed to take to the principal's office.
"You'll be welcome to my pack. You'd fit just right in especially since you already have eyes that look like mine. We are the Blood moon pack, the strongest and very best."
Blood moon pack?!. Blood moon pack!. It made me shiver, I checked if my wig was in place again. My aunt said to call her if I heard that name!. Freddy is in the blood moon pack?. Sounds bloody dangerous.
"Blood moon pack?" I said the sentence out loud to sink in.
"Yes, there's nothing to be afraid of, we're friendly ole folks. We can protect you from the Prime pack."
I took the turn I hoped would be the way to the principal's office, "Prime pack?. I won't be needing protection because I won't be staying here."
"I'm the son of the Alpha. It'll be special treatment for you."
"Great. Feed me up chubby then serve me for Thanksgiving!. Ah ah!" I laughed sarcastically. The principal's office was close by now.
"We don't eat human meat, we go hunting. We eat deers and antelopes and animals in the forest. We eat vegetables as humans too."
"That's not better!" I stood in front of the principal's office and faced him, "thanks for everything Freddy. The friendship, the phone, but I'm afraid this might be the last time we might see each other, so have a nice life."
"Oh c'mon Mel. We're not bad wolves."
I knocked on the principal's office and waiting for a reply.
"Come in" a faint voice called almost immediately.
I left Freddy standing outside and proceeded to go into the office.
Mrs Nelson, the principal was a middle aged lady probably close to get 50's, her skin was getting wrinkled and she was thin with a full mixture of different shades of brown hair packed in a neat bun on her head.
"Melissa Howard. Our new student, do you have a problem?, Missing home already?" She said not tearing her eyes away from the computer screen she was staring at.
"Good morning Mrs Nelson. I have a request."
"State it!" She said strictly.
"I would like to transfer to another school which is about 3000 miles away from this one."
The way she glanced at me from the tip of her glasses at the roof of her nose reminded me of my aunt, for a brief second I felt guilty for not speaking her since I broke my phone, but I couldn't retrieve her number.
"Whatever do you want to do that for?" Her black eyes travelled up and down my face.
"Because..." I didn't have a tangible excuse, "because Mrs Nelson I'm afraid there might be animals living amongst the students here" I came straight to the point.
She kept her expression straight and solid, but then the corner of get lips twitched up before she laughed out loud, "Animals?. Miss Howard, you're a funny one. I was never told you had such a wild imagination. What type of animal if I may ask?."
I felt stupid, "Wolves, werewolves I think" I pursed my lips, "I have Zoophobia and...."
"You could have simply stated that was your problem dear child. I will suggest you see a therapist, I will assign you to one personally, he's the best at what he does. You don't have to make up silly stories."
"I'm not making up silly stories, I'm not going to see a therapist. I'm transferring."
"Miss Howard, you will have to wait till the end of this school year before you can leave."
"I..."
"Is there anything else?."
How foolish was I to think she would believe me. She looked like a logical woman who will never believe in anything extraordinary. It was would be futile to argue with her. I just spun around and left her office.
"So how was it Miss Howard?. Are you moving to Asia?."
Freddy was still outside the door, leaning on the wall with his arms crossed.
"Stay away from me" I walked out on him quickly.
My next business was my necklace again, I felt strange without it, but before I go looking for Sadie again I had classes to attend.
I headed to my locker in the hall way. I quickly tried the combination lock and opened it. But immediately I opened it something strange happened.
"Ahhh!" I yelled out loud as my eyes, nose and face immediately became clouded by what I didn't even know. Something was pouring on my head from above, something else was hitting my nose. For one straight minute I couldn't breath at all and I could only yell and struggle. When I got myself again, I was on the floor covered in a strange liquid with my heart beating too fast and worse...
I struggled to open my eyes and when I did, I was covered in blood!.
