Wulfric's POV
'Dream vision'
I was in my wolf form, breathing heavily as I ran with my tongue hanging out of my mouth, my nostrils were flared to the limit as they stretched to let air into my lungs.
My paws dig through the dirt path in the forest that I ran in, sharp tendrils of bushes and low branches raked through my fur, some successfully cutting the skin underneath.
But I still wasn't fast enough. My nose was catching the scent of blood, tears and fear.
Someone from my pack was in danger, they had called for help but I still couldn't get to them! They were so far away, far from pack land, far from the west.
Is it Lucy again?. Is that teacher after her again?. I swear I'll wipe out blood moon pack if they kill any of my warriors!.
The wolf call for help sounded again. Something felt strange, it wasn't coming from the pack bond. All wolf packs have a pack bond that works among wolves of the same pack only, they can mind link each other with it and call their Alpha incase of dangers or emergencies.
The danger call wasn't sounding from Prime Valley pack bond but I could still hear it. Someone close to me was in danger, I have to help.
The danger call vibrated through my ears again. I got angry at myself for not being fast enough. I barked loudly into the air increasing my pace.
Who was in danger and calling me?. I wondered.
Finally, the smell of wolves met my nostrils. I could make out four distinct scents, three definitely belonged to blood moon pack, and the fourth wolf didn't smell like a pack wolf.
The forth wolf was the one in danger. I found myself halting in a clearing.
Lo and behold, three grey wolves with red tails were cornering up on a large red wolf.
But I was a few seconds late because immediately I made out the wolfs and before I could act, all three grey wolves jumped on the red wolf at the same time. Their teeth and sharp claws slashing into the fur and skin. Three against one!.
As the smell of blood hit my nose again, my hackles rose to attention, a feeling of death hanging in the air and causing my wolf to whine.
I felt a deep pang in my soul, it can only mean one thing, my mate was in trouble!.
I let out a sharp resonating bark that made the ground below shake. I charged at the grey wolves. Being a trained Alpha wolf was my biggest weapon, an Alpha wolf is naturally larger and stronger than other wolves.
With one swipe of a paw merged with claws the first grey wolf went flying into a nearby tree, the second tried to jump on me but met with an unfortunate fate because my razor sharp teeth caught him in mid air and bite into his neck, ripping out it's throat.
The third wolf howled and retreated away from the red wolf, running into the other side of the forest. I got the urge to run after it and kill it too but the pained cry of the wounded wolf on the floor made me freeze.
"W...Wulfriccc" came the faint whisper from the dying red wolf the grey wolves had attacked.
My wolf whinced, turning to check out the red wolf. It was hard to recognize who it was, I've never met the wolf before but my wolf was willing me forward.
"Mate!" My wolf cried painfully in my mind.
Mate? Mate? Mel?.
I watched as the red wolf changed back into it human form and slowly, the red wolf turned to Mel Howard. Mel Howard with red hair, wounded and bleeding, her skin pale with whiteness of loss of blood.
"Mel" I changed back into my human self, "I got you! You'll be okay!."
I was confused on how to carry her, she was bleeding everywhere, moving her would mean she would lose more blood.
"Th... they... want th...the n... necklace. S...s... save me!" She whimpered in great pain struggling to speak.
How is she a wolf?. Why did blood moon pack members attack her?. Would she accept help from me?.
Questions flew in my mind as I accessed the situation. How can I lift her to my pack land.
Suddenly, a sharp piercing pain stabbed at my chest!. I felt my wolf weaken immediately and his presence left me. I've never not felt my wolf before, it made me lose balance and fall on the dirt floor beside Mel, for a brief minute I was in abject pain feeling my body weaken.
My wolf can only leave me if my mate was gone. I managed to cast a glance at Mel. Sure enough, her full red eyes and frozen figure told me one thing.... Gone!.
I groaned as the sound of my phone ringing disturbed my sleep, waking me up violently. I was soaked in my own sweat, my breathing was laboured and pain.
My eyes flustered open, anger immediately overtaking other emotions. A little emotion of relief floating beside the anger, it was all a dream!. Mel wasn't dead! My mate isn't dead. It was all a scary dream.
My attention focused at my phone as it rang again. Which idiot was phoning me so early in the morning. The singing voice of Justin Bieber filled my room, diffusing into my head as my phone rang again and again while I was there struggling to catch my breath.
"Who for fuck sake is it?" I mumbled to myself rising from the bed. My eyes trailed around my room and finally settled on my phone charging away at a power point beside my bed but still far to reach without getting out of bed.
I forced my grumpy ass off and marched to my phone. As I turned it on, the brightness stung my eyes as my room was still dark. It was just 3.00 am in the morning.
"Hu uu hu uu sorry!" Justin Bieber started to sing again as my phone began to ring.
"Shut up!" I yelled in frustration.
The name, Andrea swam up with an accept and reject button tingling at both sides. I flung the phone to the wall in anger, the gadget hit the wall and shattered into many pieces that flew here and there. Why the heck was she calling me at this time of the day?.
I was still disturbed by the dream of my mate dyi.... No! No way!. I'm an Alpha, I could never let my Luna get killed.
I was beyond confused. Why was Mel a wolf in my dream?. Was she really a wolf like that teacher said?. The teacher that tried to hurt one of my warriors that day at the parking lot had said Mel was in his pack. Mel can't be in blood moon pack, she's human and my mate and all these doesn't make sense.
Arrghhhhhh! I yelled into the darkness ruffling my hair! I'm going crazy!. I have to talk to someone early tomorrow morning. Hopefully he's ready to help me!.
