Mina couldn't believe her eyes, she had spent years trying to get Azrael to fall in love with her and when he finally did some stuck up bitch thinks she can come and take him away from her.
Think again bitch!
"Azrael, you don't love me, you love her right?" Mina asked Azrael as he glared at Melissa before turning to mina. When he saw how tears ran down her pale cheeks, he couldn't help but blame his self control. When he saw Melissa's wet inviting lips, he couldn't help but claim it, but he forgot the fact that mina was downstairs waiting for him.
"Mina, it's not what you think" Azrael said as he took a step towards her but she took one backwards. "Come on mina, let me explain things to you"
"You kissed her Azrael and you've never even kissed me as your girlfriend, you can just be with her I'll leave" mina said as she dashed away from that, Azrael wanted to run after her but he thought again it, she might just be going through a phase or rather a tantrum which she always throws when nothing goes her way.
"Are you happy?" Azrael turned to Melissa who had a small smirk in her lips. Seeing the two couples fight, she couldn't help but dance for joy within her heart.
"Yes I am, did you expect me to cry and try explaining things to her? Think again husband" Melissa said as she looked at her painting, thank goodness that they didn't ruin it during the whole drama, if not she would have human being for dinner.
"Husband? Don't call me that and stay away from me you bitch" Azrael said as she walked out of the room slamming the door closed, Melissa couldn't help but pity the poor thing. She got back to her painting, she knew someone who could help her restart her career. The former place she worked in, always cut down her salary because of irrelevant things so her leaving wasn't even a new thing but they would probably regret it.
Looking at the art she had just finished painting, she smiled softly. The painting was a girl seated on a hill as she stared at the river, her eyes held nothing but longing and loneliness. She reached for her phone to call her friend when it rang on it's own.
"Hi Lissa" the deep baritone voice said over the line, she could remember that voice even when asleep.
"Hi Quinn, what's up?" Melissa asked as she heard his dark chuckling through the phone. Quinn Lambert always had this dark aura surrounding him but he didn't talk too much, Melissa once thought he had a crush on her but she knew it was her imagination that was playing tricks on her.
"Just landed in the country, I have this gala tomorrow that I have to attend, but unfortunately non of the girls over here suits my taste. I can only think of one" Quinn said as Melissa chuckled, Quinn had always been a flirt so she wasn't surprised.
"Okay, let's make a deal. I show you to that gala all sexy and beautiful for you. In exchange I get to work at your art firm" Melissa said as Quinn thought about it for a while, she was afraid he would refused but she wasn't so sure.
"Okay, you've got yourself a deal. I'll send a makeup artist and hair stylist to yours at midday tomorrow, and I'll pick you up at seven pm" Quinn said as Melissa hummed in response.
"You got it boss, so tell me, how was France?" Melissa said, and that was how they chatted for almost an hour. Melissa hung up the phone as she tidied up her room, she immediately showered, threw on a night wear as she walked downstairs for dinner.
"Melissa!" She heard that chirpy voice once she entered the dining room, Lady Lydia threw herself in Melissa's arms as they hugged, one could even mistake her for a lesbian.
"Good evening Lady Lydia, you seem happy?" Melissa said as she broke the hug, after exerting enough force to tell her the hug was enough.
"Drop the lady, we're family now so you can call me Lydia, anyways I'm so happy because mina left. She's such a conniving bitch but Azrael can't see that" Lady Lydia said with a grunt as she pulled Melissa to the large and long table.
"He is just blind, you can't blame him. By the way, you told me we were getting married, does that give him the right to Galavant around town with her. That's disrespectful to me" Melissa couldn't help but say her mind, she felt really hurt when she saw them at the mall earlier on, but she just didn't say anything but now that Lady Lydia said they were friends, she could say anything she wanted without getting punished.
"I know Lissa, I don't know what to do anymore" Lady Lydia said, Azrael was the only man in their lineage and they needed a baby from him, but he tried with mina until her womb got damaged, that was why she was still here. They owed Georgia's family and Mina alot of things which they had paid back but the two bitches refused to leave. Lady Lydia couldn't tell Melissa any of this if not she would run away and never come back.
"Is something wrong?" Melissa asked as she saw how lady Lydia suddenly fell quiet without even making any moves.
"No no, nothing is wrong. Let's wait for the rest to come down then we can start eating" Lady Lydia said, she knew one day the cat would be out of the bag and she just prayed that by that time, Azrael wouldn't have killed Melissa, because among all the women brought to Carson, Melissa is the only one she finds a friend.
Melissa was chatting with Quinn online since she couldn't take calls, but she suddenly stopped when Mina and Azrael walked in, they both looked really happy and Melissa had a bad feeling about everything.
"We have great news Lydia, I have decided to marry mina" Azrael said as the phone in Melissa's hand dropped to the floor.
