Chapter 53 - The battle is over

"Your arm just got torn off," Moros announced calmly.

"What!?"

"Don't worry, I stopped the bleeding."

I stared, struggling to make sense of his words. "You tore my arm off? Just—how are you so calm about this?"

Moros gave a small shrug. "Sorry about that," he said, almost sounding sincere. "I thought you were stronger."

I glared. "Stronger? You ripped my arm off!"

"Yes. I am a strong being…using a weak body."

I could feel my shock quickly turning into rage, but he kept talking like it was no big deal. "It happened when I fought the hero," he explained. "Right before he died, he left behind some sort of... thing. A black ball that's pulling everything in around it. Since I was close, it tore off my—well, your—left arm."

I tried to wrap my head around it. "What kind of ball does that?"

"It's growing, sucking everything in its vicinity. Right now, I'm trying to fly Xedeth and myself clear of it."
