Chapter 146 - Audition

The recital hall was mostly empty. Only seven people sat in the front row. Six of them were the lead dancer of the Lucida Theatrum, the seventh was an older woman, the owner of the place.

Virginia Horn was reading through some documents while they waited for the supposed new dancer to arrive.

Close to her, Carmen Horn, her one and only child, kept checking her pocket watch.

The recent addition was being late, and each passing minute her daughter made a comment about it.

Currently, she was the best dancer out of the six, but to Virginia's dismay, it really got to her head. Carmen treated everyone like she was better, which caused a lot of annoyance and many problems.

As more and more days passed into her 66 birth year, she got afraid. She feared that her family's legacy would be ruined, because her daughter was incapable.

She was one of the best dancers in the world, but her attitude towards money and business was nonexistent.
