The golden coin went up in the air, turning and turning showcasing both sides at the same time.
One side held the image of a humanoid creature. It kneeled on the ground with both arms nailed to the sides. Its head hung low, with long hair covering Its face.
The other side showed something similar to a roulette wheel, which seemed to move with each turn of the coin.
As the golden coin reached its apex, it began to glow in a golden-white light, blinding Veronica.
She felt the ground change below her feet, and she also heard the cocking of a revolver. While her eyes still didn't work, she moved just as the gunshot echoed.
Veronica, as any normal person would, assumed the bullet was at least some kind of Ascended property, and she wasn't wrong... She just never learned about the bullet...
Instead of one bullet, she heard about a dozen approaching her. She was already in movement, so she could evade all of them.
