Chapter 1 - Awakening

I suddenly woke up in a strange place. I couldn't remember anything, and everything around me seemed different. My hands and back were covered in blood, but I didn't know what had happened. Next to me, someone offered me some clothes, smiling kindly. "You're our only hope," they said before disappearing.

After gathering some strength, I started exploring. As I walked, I saw a young girl with a basket, followed by a group of strange people. I felt uneasy, sensing that the men had bad intentions towards her.

Curious, I followed them. As I continued down the road, I noticed cars with lights, and people dressed differently from me. Their eyes were all on me, but I tried to ignore them while staying focused on the situation.

Suddenly, the group surrounded the girl, grabbing her basket and threatening her with a knife. One man demanded to know where her father was, blaming him for a debt. The girl, scared and crying, pleaded that she didn't know where her father was, but the man insisted they would use her to send a message to him.

The man slapped the girl, and she started crying. People around us did nothing, too afraid to intervene. I felt a surge of anger, an uncontrollable urge to do something.

Without thinking, I rushed forward and kicked one of the men in the face, sending him to the ground. The power of my kick surprised me—it was much stronger than I expected.

"Hey!" shouted one of the men, angry and shocked. "Who do you think you are, attacking us?"

The remaining men moved toward me, but the girl hid behind me, trembling with fear. "I'm scared," she whispered. "Thank you for helping me, but I'm sorry for getting you involved."

"Don't worry, I've got this," I reassured her.

As I faced the men, one tried to punch me, but his movements were slow and predictable. It was as if I could see what they were going to do before they did it.

They were furious, especially at the girl. "Look at the coward," one of them sneered, "picking on someone weaker."

Using my newfound abilities, I quickly took down each of them without hurting them too badly.

The girl grabbed my hand and led me away, and we ran until we reached what I guessed was her home.

She invited me inside, thanking me again for saving her. As we approached the house, my stomach rumbled, and she noticed. "Are you hungry?" she asked, smiling gratefully. "Please, come meet my family, and let us feed you."

"I'm Luna," she introduced herself. "What's your name?"

"I... I don't know," I replied, confused. "I can't remember."

I decided to stay with Luna, hoping to recover my lost memories.
