Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

"Olivia there's no way that, that playboy brother of yours with agree." Zoey sighed.

Everyone knew that Noah Smith is a playboy. He changed women like you change the clothes. Unlike his rude, fidget and cold brother, Noah had a very nice and easy going personality.

Even though he has easy going personality, he is not a man you should be trifling with. When he is upset, the air around goes so cold.

He was rarely angry but if he is the people run faster than they could think.

Noah rarely did anyone any favours even when it come to its family or friends. The only person he listen to is his big brother.

"Now this is where you are wrong about my brother. He might be a hard nut to crack but he will listen to me if I tell him that you save my brother's life has." Olivia said.

"I will even add a part where you donated so much blood that you really fainted"

"Olivia, James will not care who I walk with into the banquet. He will not get jealous. He will be there with her beloved. Even if my partner is in a higher class than he is, he is already delusional that everyone loves him and that he is perfect in every way.

If Chloe is present, then he will see no one else except for her. His eyes are always glued to her. She is the Apple of his eyes. Whenever she step into the room and even the way they already are in the pink bubble area I don't want to be anywhere with him.

"Okay I agree, but let's just do this so that we can face slap your pretty sister and your birth givers, those people who have abandon you. "

Olivia's eyes shine at opportunity to ruin the lives of the people who have ruined the life of her precious Zoey.

How can her family???

How can they be so cold???

Isn't blood thicker than water????

How can you do that to the own blood????

Their own daughter?????

While Zoey was lost in the thought of what Olivia has said, Olivia texted her brother who agreed to be the partner of zoey for the banquet.

"He said he will come. Don't worry you will have a very good partner."

As Noah has already agreed, she is cornered with no way to run ,she accepted Olivia's plan and prayed for the best.

She walked out of the hospital and realised how early it was so early in the afternoon.

She decided to enjoy a little time for herself, ate at a cute cafe and visited a book store.

As the sun was going down, Zoey decided to go home.

She saw an old women selling vegetables and no one was buying anything from her.

Zoey went to her and greeted her" what are you selling today mam."

She was surprised at the sight of a wide variety of locally grown vegetables. They seemed to be really fresh and well-grown.

"Good afternoon, young lady." The woman smiled, revealing fine likes of wrinkles of an aged grandmother.

"It's quite cold tonight, this should warm you up." Zoey placed the hand warmer into the granny's hand, surprising her in the process.

"Oh my, thank you, dear. I didn't think young people these days were so polite." She brightly said, placing a few extra pieces of vegetables into Zoey's bag for free.

"Ah, there's no need-" But it was too late, the woman had already placed a few additional things.

"Don't worry dear. Kindness is priceless." The woman smiled again

Zoey bit her lips and decided that it was best to buy more. The vegetables were decently priced,

"Oh my,you are buying so much." The granny chuckled at the amount of vegetable that Zoey was buying.

" I just really enjoy eating vegetables." Zoey laughed.

"My grandfather really like organic and locally grown food from the countryside. He thinks it's healthier." Zoey explained, picking up a few more leafy greens.

"Indeed it is." The woman nodded to herself, weighing the vegetables that Zoey picked up.

"You should go home now, young lady. It's getting quite dark. It's not good for a beautiful woman like you to roam around the streets." The granny worriedly said, packing up the vegetables.

"Thank you, granny." Zoey took off the scarf she wore and placed it around the woman's neck.

Now, she valued her elders a lot more and worried about them.

"Oh my, what a lovely scarf! Are you sure you want to give it away?" The woman asked, her hands lightly touching the soft material.

Zoey readily nodded. "Of course. It will keep you warm." She said

"Thank you, dear. You're too kind. " The women warmly said.

"Now, off you go.'

The entire time she walked off, she didn't realise the heavy stare on her back. The eyes had been on her for a while now, starting from the first moment that Zoey decided to buy the vegetables.

The man was surprised to see Zoey act so politely towards the elderly. He thought she wasn't capable of kindness and placing the need of others above her own...

Was that really Zoey?

No, it was probably just some woman that looked like her. The Zoey that he knew, was a vengeful and cruel woman who wouldn't understand the word "kindness" even if you tied her down and forced her to memorise it.

James took one last puff of his cigarette before throwing it on the ground and stubbing it with the heel of his leather shoes.

He was originally going to visit the hospital when he heard Smith Enterprise's Big Boss was gravely injured in a horrific car accident.

His car was a good few meters away from the cart, so it was hard to catch a glimpse of the woman.

"Sir, it's not good to stand in the cold for so long. We should head inside and pay our respects to CEO Smith." His private secretary, Kim, a beautiful woman in her early twenties, spoke up.

She was curious about what he had been staring at while he was smoking, but because James frame was so tall and she was standing on his left side, she couldn't see anything.

"Fine, let's go." James curtly said. He strolled into the hospital with his hands tucked into the pockets of his fitted suit.

Kim followed him but stood one step behind him out of respect. She checked her tablet and realised there was a new message.

"Mrs Oberoi's daughter, Kendel's birthday is coming up. She has invited you to come, will you accept the invitation?" Kim relayed the message.

"Reject it. I don't have time for these useless birthday banquets." James walked through the automatic sliding doors of the hospital and made his way to the elevator.

"Ah, but Ms.Chloe is a friend of Kendel Oberoi and has expressed interests-"

"Then accept the invitation." James smiled at the opportunity of making Chloe happy.

Recently, they've gotten into a small fight, and she was angry at him.

Perhaps this birthday banquet would cheer her up...
