So he knew she was acting. The pain was brief because the system protection mechanism blocked it for her. Rose knew she had to act hurt or really get hurt otherwise, she would look more interesting as a guinea pig. It was a bad idea.

And then she did just that. She vomited blood and twitched. Rose knew this was realistic acting better than what she was doing before. Wow. The system was awesome.
The man got up and came near her to see if she was acting. Rose saw the chance. She took it.
