Chapter 9 - 9.Enter the palace

The rain gradually stopped. But there was no sign of the sky clearing up, and there were still layers of dark clouds. The dim light reflected a vague black shadow, and the accumulated water sliding down from the eaves splashed on the ground. Everything around made Na Luo feel confused and unreal, as if she was in a short and chaotic dream.

What should she do next?

It was impossible to go back, but if she continued to move forward, where could she go?

The world was vast, but there was no small place for her to stay.

Not far away, a noisy voice suddenly came. Na Luo looked up blankly, and saw several figures holding torches hurriedly walking towards her direction. Among them were men and women, and the woman in the lead was her aunt Aya. In the dim light of the fire, she clearly saw the undisguised anger on the other person's face.

It came quite quickly. Na Luo thought so in her heart, and the corner of her mouth pulled out an expression that could barely be called a bitter smile. In that stiff smile, there was a hint of sarcasm, bitterness and sadness. Out of some subconscious reaction, her feet could not help but move back two steps, trying to escape.

But before she turned around, Aya had rushed over and blocked her. The moment she saw Na Luo, Aya seemed to be relieved, and quickly hid the displeasure in her eyes. The annoyance on her face had long been replaced by false worry, "Na Luo, why did you come here? You are still running around so late? If you have an accident, how can I explain to your uncle?" There was a bit of tentativeness in her tone, as if she was still not sure whether Na Luo knew the truth.

Na Luo glanced at the other people with her peripheral vision. She was not unfamiliar with those faces. She had seen them before. Almost all of them were relatives of her aunt.

In other words, even if she told the truth at this time, the current situation might not be favorable to her.

She reached out her hand and touched the ground, slowly stood up, and said calmly, "Aunt, I just went out for a walk. Who knew I would end up here." Na Luo knew that his lie was not very clever, but in a hurry, he could only follow the other party's words.

Aya squeezed out a rare smile, "I'm glad I found you. Let's not talk so much for now, hurry home with me."

Although Na Luo responded, she didn't move a step. She knew what she would encounter after returning. But in this situation, it was even more difficult to get out.

What should I do?

"Are you going to leave or not? If you are so disobedient, don't blame aunt for being rude." Aya obviously lost her patience and signaled her cousin to come forward to catch Na Luo. When the tall and strong man bent down to catch her, Na Luo suddenly hit him hard in the eyes with the stone he had just picked up! Taking advantage of the opportunity of the other party's pain, Na Luo ran back without thinking!

Anyway, going back would definitely lead to death, so why not give it a try!

Aya stamped her feet in anger, cursed a few times, and immediately chased after them with a few people.

After all, Na Luo was just an eight-year-old girl, and she had already overdrawn a lot of physical strength when she accompanied Fu Zhao to escape, so she was caught up by the other party not long after running. As soon as Aya caught Na Luo, she slapped her several times without saying anything to vent her anger. Na Luo's little face swelled up halfway and it hurt like fire.

Seeing her like this, Aya still felt unsatisfied, and kicked her hard a few more times. The last kick was so powerful that Na Luo was kicked several meters away, and she didn't stop until she rolled in front of a carriage that was heading here, which scared the coachman.

"Who is so bold that he dared to bump into Lord Hu's carriage!" The coachman raised his whip and slapped Na Luo with a snap.

Aya and the others wanted to rush forward and grab Na Luo again, but when they heard the driver's words, they immediately wilted and stayed where they were, not daring to move. Na Luo was already in so much pain that her whole body seemed to be falling apart, and the sudden whip made her eyes go black and she almost fainted.
