Luo Jiner was about to leave when the guards at the door stopped her, "The Marquis has ordered that Miss Luo cannot leave the courtyard."
"Impossible, why would the Marquis treat me this way? Do you realize I am carrying the Marquis' child? Can you bear the responsibility if something happens?" Luo Jiner stated arrogantly.
Thinking her words might instill fear, she was surprised when the two men remained impassive and refused to let her leave. Luo Jiner tried to force her way through but was pushed back.
"The Marquis said no one is to come near here. If Miss Luo insists on leaving, we will have to take you directly to the Marquis for him to deal with you," the guard said coldly.
This response infuriated Luo Jiner, and she felt helpless but to stay in her room. She glared at the two guards, secretly fuming; she hadn't expected the Marquis to confine her. It seemed her plan to frame and entrap the concubine wouldn't work.
