Chapter 1 - Preface

(PS: This prologue is a bit sadistic; feel free to skip it and start from Chapter One, it won't affect the reading experience.)

The night was bleak, with torrential rain pouring down, as if the reservoirs of Paradise had suddenly sprung a leak!

Ye Feifei walked alone in the pitch-black Dark Night, without an umbrella, allowing the heavy rain to wash over her.

Despair was boundless. Having loved deeply, she now harbored deep hatred. She knew how cruel it was to reject the marriage proposal of a man who had always loved and helped her, but she could not believe the rush and shock that she saw on his face when she cried out "Shen Sihong." So this was not a meticulously designed scheme to drive them apart—it was all true!

Her heart ached overwhelmingly. Those unforgettable loves, so much struggle and sacrifice—what had they amounted to? A love that was undying until death, or a cynical ploy of exploitation?

Have you ever gotten used to chatting on the phone with someone every night? Have you ever accustomed yourself to projecting all your prince and princess fantasies onto one particular person, then secretly donning your favorite dress and waiting endlessly for him to come marry you? Have you ever reflexively reached for the phone to call that certain someone whenever you faced injustice or difficulty, even if all you got was a few words of empty consolation?

But what if all these habits suddenly vanished, and you suffered a heartbreak, would you be in excruciating pain? Would you feel a frantic, insane kind of agony struggling fiercely in your mind? And then, would you be tormented by a feeling of living death?

Ye Feifei sobbed until her body was numb and could no longer walk in the rain. She collapsed, huddling on the ground in the downpour, holding her legs and crying out loud!

As she closed her eyes, tears mingled with the rain. She suddenly saw before her the shocked look in his eyes, his pride and vanity shattering into ashes. In that moment, he was like a child abandoned in a frigid wasteland, without food or drink, not even a coat to keep out the cold, as if he was soon to reach the end of his life!

Perhaps, no one would have imagined that a top star of the entertainment industry, the heartthrob of countless young girls, would ever experience being cast aside!

At that moment, the shock and despair in the depths of his eyes were like a severe punishment from the heavens, probably indistinguishable from the taste of pain, because it was too sudden!

He was the man Ye Feifei loved the most!

And the person who had thrown him from Paradise into hell that day was Ye Feifei!

Ye Feifei suddenly realized her own cruelty and malice. Condemned by many as a White Lotus and a morally righteous bitch, she hadn't expected to have a day as an executioner; the world truly was ridiculous!

The light faded in the heavy rain, melting into a dreamscape, a nightmare—not a beautiful dream!

Not knowing how long she had been sitting and crying like this, she felt the night was as chilling to the bone as an Antarctic ice cave, cold to the point of suffocation!

Suddenly, a roar came from behind her, and then, a gaunt figure rushed over, lifting the sobbing and collapsing Ye Feifei from the ground as swiftly as if dragging a dead dog, pulling the dazed Ye Feifei forward!

It all happened too quickly. Her limbs, cold and stiff, allowed themselves to be manipulated. The rain was so heavy that she couldn't see the face of the person, but a familiar scent allowed her to instantly recognize who it was!

Subconsciously, she resisted, but the reality was emaciated. She was too exhausted to muster the energy to fight.

And so, Ye Feifei was dragged by that person into the depths of an abandoned alley, dirty and indecent, with no one around—just the two of them!

Her slight back was forced against a hard wall; a wall so deteriorated that chunks of cement had fallen off, leaving her harshly pressed against it!

```
In a state of disarray, that person leaned in and kissed Ye Feifei's lips fiercely, ravaging them!
With the last of her strength, Ye Feifei managed to push the person in front of her away—the rain was still pouring down heavily, like buckets of water spilling over, leaving no room even for breathing. This slight distance only allowed Ye Feifei to catch her breath momentarily. Had it been any longer, she probably would have suffocated!
Ye Feifei felt as though she was trapped in water, the terrifying part being that she didn't know how to swim or to hold her breath, or perhaps, at this moment, all her survival instincts had been stolen by the devil, leaving her with nothing but a desperate struggle for breath in despair and the dark night!
She could no longer see the face of the person in front of her. A life that once deeply bonded, a countenance that weathered storms together, a body that shared joy and sorrow—in this moment, it had finally become unfamiliar, almost laughable. They had once vowed to grow old together, yet now, they had become the most familiar strangers!
"We've already broken up, what are you doing here? Just go! With your status as a wealthy and handsome man, I'm just an idiot who can't reach you..."
If you have ever truly loved and then reached utter despair, pain so deep that life feels worse than death, then you would know that turning into the most venomous and spiteful person is just a matter of moments! Just like now, her greeting was like a sharp knife, unapologetically stabbing into him!
But still, he was unwilling to let go!
"Ye Feifei, did I ever tell you that encountering someone twice in one day is fate destined by the heavens? Therefore, we are bound to be tied together, entwined for life, until the end of time!"
He reached out and gripped Ye Feifei's jaw tightly, as if wanting to crush the bones into powder, grinding his teeth as he vented his pent-up fury:
"Ye Feifei, by what right do you break up with me before I agree? By what right do you leave?! Ye Feifei, have you forgotten who saved you when you fell to rock bottom, who made you, once having nothing, shine again under the spotlight as the brightest star?! Now, you've succeeded, you have fame and assets, become the Top Sister of the entertainment industry, you fear nothing, and you kick me away with a single foot?! Is that it? How are you any different from those cold-blooded gold-diggers? Let me tell you, it's easy to summon a spirit but hard to dismiss it. Since you've 'thrown yourself into my arms', don't even think about running away. Go back and marry me obediently, otherwise, for this lifetime, even if I go to hell, I'll drag you with me!"
Who said that physical contact could resolve emotional conflict? He had kissed her already, so hard, with so much effort, yet it was all for nothing!
But what else could he do?!
He was possessed by that belief like a maniac; thus tonight, he was determined to use his own experience to prove that statement on behalf of the entire internet community!
He kissed her again, varying the style—domineeringly, gently, beautifully, violently... trying them all out one by one!
Ye Feifei felt like she was truly going to suffocate, the pitiful reality being that at this moment, she didn't even have the ability to cry for help!
She couldn't push him away!
The intense fear descended like the grim reaper, and Ye Feifei, no longer able to consider anything else, bit down hard. She had told him countless times "I will bite you to death," but had never once done it, and now, she had no choice but to follow through!
She had never truly bitten someone before, and it wasn't until she tasted a nauseating sweetness that she fearfully let go!
This time, she really had bitten him, viciously...
All her love and hate merged into that bite—both love and hate.
As their eyes met, time rewound to the beginning. She remembered when she hadn't yet entered the entertainment industry, merely a well-known gown designer in her own right, and he had barged into her life so unexpectedly just as her life had reached its glorious pinnacle...
