~ ARTORIAS PENDRAGON POV ~
"Excuse me, but I believe these were for you." However my mind was thinking something else 'I had just saved Ai Hoshino.' Seeing that she was still stun-locked I was about to speak again when I heard a thump from behind me.
Turning back I saw Alexis harshly dropping the body of the man earlier, and from the looks of it he was still alive but he looked unrecognizable. "I believe this also belongs to you. Well not belongs to you, but…you get what I mean." Looking back at Ai I gestured towards the man.
Ai just stood there looking at me, then Alexis, and then the man that had just tried to kill her "Ah…um…uh" that was all we got out of her as she was still processing everything that was happening.
"Hmmm, it seems she's still shocked about all that just happened… Alexis, grab the body, we're going home to get some answers out of him, and you miss Ai Hoshino we will be back later after you get over your shock."
Looking at the Bouquet in my hands and seeing Ai shocked I walked into the apartment towards the girl and handed her the bouquet instead "For you my lady."
The girl just took it with a blank expression.
Walking out of the Apartment I yawned
"Alright Alexis I'm ready to go now, and would you mind calling a car to pick us up. It wouldn't really be a good idea to walk all the way back carrying an unconscious man in public." I sweatdropped thinking about such a scenario.
"Yes right away master." I heard Alexis say in her ever so professional voice.
"Thank you~."

After leaving we arrived at the house and thankfully none of my friends were here. Looking at Alexis "Alexis take him to the basement please, and try and get some answers out of him." I said.
"Wait young master, may I ask why are you so invested in this?" Alexis asked and I paused…why was I so invested into this? It obviously wasn't my problem so why am I bringing myself into this mess?
'Ugh thinking about it is giving me a headache.'
I thought while sighing "Who knows, look just take him to the basement and get answers. I'm going to take a nap so when you're done with that come and wake me up so we can go back."
Walking up the stairs to my room I closed the door and fell face first on the bed. Flipping myself I stare at the ceiling 'Why am I getting involved with this whole thing? Is it because of that pull I felt when I met that man? So many questions yet no answers…'
It didn't make sense to me in my last life I wasn't a bad guy nor was I a good guy who just helped people all the time…well there were times where I would help the elderly put their groceries away in their car…and times when I would pay for people if they didn't have enough money for groceries.
…and the times when I would help old people cross the street, along with the times when I would babysit my neighbors devilish kids when I didn't have to, ok maybe I was more of a good guy but I wasn't a hero, right?
Deciding to not think about it anymore I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
~ NARRATOR POV ~
In a dark room with one light hanging loosely from the ceiling a man sat he had messy unkempt hair, his face was bruised with his left eye and right jaw swollen while also having dry blood that came from his nose and lips.
He was abruptly awoken when a bucket of water was thrown on his face…then the actual bucket was thrown at his face not long after at full force knocking him back out again.
"The young Master said to NOT kill him Claire." A voice that belonged to the personal maid of Artorias said, though she said that there was no real scolding in her tone.
"But he tried to not only harm the young master but kill him, Alexis. He doesn't deserve to live." Said a feminine voice who is now known as Clair.
Claire is a woman with a pale complexion almost like that of a doll, she has a notably large breast bigger than Alexis and a personally tailored lolita gothic maid outfit. She has crimson red eyes with very long light gray hair that reaches the floor.
Alexis glared at the woman "Unless the young master gives the order this trash of a human being is to keep drawing breath, unless you wish to disobey master's orders then…" her voice got colder at the end and she let the threat hang in the air for a bit.
Claire glared back at Alexis for a moment.
There was silence with 2 maids glaring at each other before Clair simply closed her eyes and took a calming breath. She opened her eyes and said, "I'll wake him up."
Taking another bucket of water that she had placed beside her she immediately dumped it onto him rousing him awake once more.
The man jolted when he felt cold water on his skin and panically looked around with his right eye due to the left being swollen shut. He tried to move only to find his movements restricted.
The door to the room was opened revealing a man in a butler suit pushing a cart of tools, the butler stopped right in front of the man before putting on some black gloves.
The butler looked back at the man, causing him to shake violently and piss himself causing Alexis and Claire to scrunch their nose in disgust.
The man still shaking spoke "W-Where am I?! W-W-Who are you peopl-!"
He was abruptly cut short when Alexis with a knife pressed it against his lips drawing blood "I didn't give you permission to speak, now did I?" She asked, her voice cold and emotionless.
The man shook his head quickly, not daring to say another word, "Good. Now, you're going to answer some questions for me, however if you don't comply then…" she said as she looked back towards both Claire who now had a gun in her hand pointed at him and the butler who looked about ready to rip into him.
The man nodded quickly, signifying that he would comply and answer all the questions she asked. Alexis looked deep into the mans eyes for a second before nodding and taking a step back, but she recoiled the next second as she was hit with a nasty odor…the man had also shit himself.
The three servants of Artorias all covered their nose with their hands. Alexis went to the door and seeing a pair of maids standing by the door she ordered "bring some mask quickly!" Looking back at the man who was still shivering and crying she sighed.
~ Timeskip: Few Hours ~
Artorias was woken up by a knock at his bedroom door. A maid walked in, rolling a tray of food "I'm deeply sorry to disturb your sleeping master but Lady Alexis ordered me to bring you lunch in case you woke up and were hungry." The maid said while bowing deeply.
Waving his hand in dismissal Artorias yawned "Nah, there's no reason to be sorry I was going to wake up soon anyways so no harm done." He said while stretching.
"Thanks by the way, I am feeling a bit hungry, also can you ask the chefs to prepare a vanilla cake with strawberries on it?" Artorias asked the maid, taking the lunch that was on the tray and setting it on his night stand.
"Right away master." The maid bowed and left the room, towards the kitchen where the chef's would be.
~
Artorias sat on his bed eating his lunch while watching Television, Amazing World of Gumball actually.
'Thanks god they still have the same shows as my old life.' His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on his door "Come in!" He yelled, and in walked Alexis with a bit of blood on her maid dress.
"You got a little blood…" Artorias pointed at the spot where the blood is, causing Alexis to look down at her dress and indeed seeing a blood stain on her dress she bowed deeply. "I apologize for this unsightly state of dress."
"Nah, it's fine. Is there a reason you came to my room?"Artorias waved it off before asking.
"Ah! Yes, you told me that once we were done with our…questioning, you told me to wake you up so that we can go back to that Miss. Hoshino's residence."
"Oh yeah, I did tell you that didn't I? Well we can't show up with you looking like…that. Why don't you go and get a change of clothes…and maybe a shower, you kinda smell." Artorias suggested.
"I apologize master, because of me we-!"
"Stop apologizing already. I asked the chef to prepare a cake so if you hurry, you can be out by the time the cake is done." Alexis had the decency to look ashamed, she bowed and hurried to her room to shower.
~ ARTORIAS PENDRAGON POV ~
After an hour of waiting for both the cake and Alexis (which is weird seeing as she never takes this long in the bath unless she's alone) we were finally heading to go back to Ai Hoshino's residence.
Alexis and I were joined by Claire, it was her request after she told me that she was the one to get the answers out of the man, speaking of the man.
"So the guy's name was Ryousuke Sugano, a huge fan of Ai, had gone there to kill Ai Hoshino after he got an anonymous tip that she was pregnant, did I get that right?" I asked and was met with two nods from both Alexis and Clair.
"And not only did he try and fail to kill Ai but he had already killed someone, more specifically the doctor, Gorou Amamiya, that was supposed to help deliver the twins?" I asked and was once again met with two nods from his maids.
"I see, so he was a loser who thought that Ai Hoshino could be capable of loving millions of people and wasn't able to accept the fact that she had kids with someone else…" sighing, I leaned my head back on the headrest while closing my eyes.
"Wait, did you kill the guy?" Looking towards my maids they both shook their heads
"No master."
"Good, we'll let Ai Hoshino decide what to do with him. Also, have we figured out who sent that anonymous tip to him and where Doctor Gorou Amamiya's body is?" I asked while taking a can of sprite that was in a bucket filled with ice. 'Don't mind if I do.'
"We have not tried to search for the Doctor's body yet, but I did have someone to search that man's place of residence to retrieve all of his electronics and things of importance." Alexis said with a bit of disgust upon saying 'That Man'.
"I see, don't start searching for the doctor's body yet we'll wait until we find out who did it…" I said after taking a sip of sprite.
"Master if I may be so bold to ask…why do you bother with this whole situation? I mean, you don't know Ai Hoshino…so why are you going so far for her." Claire was the one to ask and she was immediately glared at by Alexis
"Claire you are not in position to question
young mas-!" I had to interrupt Alexis as I did favor Claire a bit more than all my other maids and butler's except for Alexis.
"To answer your question Claire, I myself don't know why I'm helping her, maybe it's because I find myself drawn to her…or maybe because I find her very beautiful."
"D-Do you find me beautiful, young master?" Claire asked me and Alexis leaned in as well wanting to hear my answer and maybe wanting me to verify if she too was a beautiful woman.
"Yes-Yes the both of you are very beautiful." Claire's eyes lit up and she got all giddy while Alexis was far more reserved but she had a smile on her face while her eyes lit up.
Leaning back on the headrest I thought about the reason as to why I'm so drawn to Ai and why I want to help her. Other than the reason of just wanting to help and the pull I felt towards her there was no other reason.

(A/N: The whole saving Ai thing feels forced so to make an excuse as to why he saved her and is going out of his way to help her, other than being a good person, Ai Hoshino is one of his fated ones…in every world he goes to he will have a fated one and in his Base world it's Ai Hoshino as for the other worlds, you'll have to find out.)
